there was a report on sportscenter today that if the soxs sweep the yanks again, joe torre might not make it to the end of next week.  I've heard that one before and i'll believe it when i see it.

I have been a Miami Dolphins fan since the early 90's but i'm done.  My loyalty can only handle so much.  It's like my spouce has cheated on me over and over again and i just don't trust them anymore.  It started in 2001 when they drafted Jammer Fletcher, a cornerback from Wisconsin, and passed on Drew Brees, when they already had the best secondary in football.  THAT WAS STRIKE ONE.  Then last year they pass on Drew Brees AGAIN for a quarterback who was made by Randy Moss, and has blatantly sucked w/out him, not to mention his knee.  And Drew Brees once again goes on to have a great year.  THAT'S STRIKE TWO.  Now this. Brady Quinn is there for the taking.  They have as much qb problems as any team in the league and they PASS on Quinn for a glorified kick returner who wasn't even the best receiver on Ohio States team.  THAT"S STRIKE THREE.  3 strikes and your out.  Well guess what i'm done.

I just heard that if someone can prove that it's not blood he will give them a check for 1 million dollars face to face.  I'd have to say he's pretty confident it's blood.

[QUOTE="That-B-Guy"]These referees should be ashamed of themselves... I'm posting this near the beginning of the 4th quarter for reference.Ranger_x8b

(Stands up and claps) Brilliant! I'm defiently not insulting you by applauding you for not noticing that Golden State lost their heads. No ref should take that kind of punishment.

I understand he was mocking the referees, however there were HORRIBLE calls made that did the most harm to Golden State. A couple bad calls went to Dallas, but when the ratio is 5:1 it's hard to keep your cool.

Yea... I'll admit that the refs we're calling ticky-tack fouls in the 3rd. But I can only think of one blatant no-call from that period that would have benefited the Warriors. So I dunno, I'm a biased opinion, so I can't truly comment on it without someone bringing up that I'm a Homer.

I'll back you because i'm not a fan of either team or do i live anywhere near dallas.  The refs were calling some ticky tack fouls on the warriors that weren't called in game one, HOWEVER that didn't determine the game.  It may have been closer but they still would have lost.  The reason they lost was they shot HORRIBLY.  There overall shooting percentage was in the mid 40's which is alright but teams like the warriors need to shoot well from three to win.  Not due to dallas's defense, but just cause they missed open shots.  A team like golden state can't miss damn near 20  3-pointers and expect to beat a team like dallas, it just won't happen.  And trust me they won't shoot that bad at home, so once again dallas is going to have to take their game up another level, cause despite the score last night, that was far from a dominating performance by the mavs

[QUOTE="datniccah187"]Kobe do it up, Game 3 is definately going to the Lakers here, no way they lose tonight and go down 3-0. Kobe wont allow it.dkhw

sounds like a fan right there. Last time i checked the lakers weren't playing the grizzlies. One player CAN'T beat a great team by himself. Stat of the year right here, like i said in a previous post. The lakers have beat ONE TEAM WITH A .500 OR BETTER RECORD SINCE THE ALL STAR BREAK. sorry it aint gonna happen. The lakers as a team may be able to pull off an upset but kobe CAN NOT DO IT BY HIMSELF.

It's possible, because we are talking about Kobe here who can drop 60 on any given night, but even with that Suns score 110 or 120 a night so if his team doesn't show up to play, LA is going to get sweeped.

sorry but it's not possible.  It's possible they win, but not if kobe puts up 60 and nobody else gets more than 10.  If he puts up 60 and odom can get like 25 and 15 there might be a chance.  But if you look at the box scores of when kobe has his monster nights, generally everyone else does NOTHING.  ANd that won't work.  Like i said before, he was scoring all those points and they were winning by 2 or 3 points a night against the bottom teams of the league.  That WILL NOT WORK AGAINST THE SUNS.  There are 2 ways the suns can lose a game in this series.  If they are missing all their shots and shoot like 35% from the field, or if kobe and someone else goes off.  It can't just be kobe, the suns have too much talent

de la hoya by unanamous decision.  I say he'll win on avg. 8 rounds to 4.  He's bigger and stronger, but is incredibly skilled as well.  Every way you look at it De la hoya has the advantage in all meaningful categories except for hand speed and age.  I'm not knocking mayweather but he's NEVER FOUGHT A GREAT BOXER.  His most meaningful win was against gatti who is nothing but a brawler.  Hell if zab judah wasn't a lighter version of mike tyson, where he just runs out of gas as the fight goes on, who's to say he wouldn't have beaten mayweather cause he was picking him apart the first few rounds.  And lets be real, if zab judah wasn't in every rappers video or lyrics nobody would know who he was.  My pick is basically going on the fact that mayweather has never fought anyone with remotely as much talent as De la hoya, and to add to that we are talking a 154lb fight as opposed to his normal 135lb weight class.  I just think it will be too much.  HOWEVER, if mayweather does win this fight i will be the first to say i was wrong and that he truely deserves to be recognized as the best pound for pound fighter in the world (but until then winky wright is the best pound for pound in my book, but that's another argument).

stat of the night.  The lakers have only beaten ONE TEAM ABOVE .500 since the all star break.  The lakers have no shot, maybe they can sneak out one game but that's it.  Hell if the regular season was about 5 games longer they wouldn't have been in the playoffs in the first place which would have put them in the lottery and given them a chance at something.  Cause unless they make a DRASTIC trade in the next couple years, Kobe will never sniff the second round let alone the finals (which i think he will never win another championship anyway, but that's my opinion).
