Not sure what "forced out of gaming" means but gaming has no age limit. I'm 37, have a wife (5 months pregnant), a 3 year old daughter (#1 priority), a full time career (+50 hrs per week) & I'm a home owner (with +1 acre lot, doing all home/yard maintenance myself). And I have time for gaming, not enough time as I'd like but enough. My father-in-law is +55 yr old, owns his own company (not small) & he games. Set your priorities correctly (gaming is low on my list)& make time. How much sleep do you need? Anything more than 5 hours is too much sleep, when you're dead you can catch up on all the sleep you missed.

I'm always saying the same about the ammount of sleep some people waste their lives on-lol

I'm 31 and unfortunately, i'm being forced out of gaming due to age, which sucks considering the fact that I don't have kids. Now I do have a love life, but I don't let the PS3 interfere.

Its just odd that something so casual can draw such criticism.

I look at it from another angle and i always say to my Mrs that when i stop playing video games then you know I've got old and it's time for me cloth cap and slippers! PS-I will be 47 tomorrow and just bought my 2nd PS3 in September and refitted it with 320GB hard drive and still got me old Phat PS2.

I've had my 80gb BC PS3 for about a year and a half. Until recently I had absolutely no freezes. Then a couple weeks ago, I got my first freeze while playing UC2 online. Then today i got my second freeze while playing MW2 single player. Should i be worried about my PS3 or is this normal?

Gorcman

I used to get my 60Gb with B.C. freezing up every now and then, but so far haven't had it happen with my new 80GB non B.C.

I used to wonder with my 60GB if it was cos of the B.C. emulation or just cos it used to run a lot hotter than my present 80GB version??

Sit back further from console when playing and stop worrying so much,i mean,if we were all to sit with our ears to our consoles when playing then we'd all be worried to death about all the strange noises going on-Just remember-Nothing lasts forever no matter how much you worry.

Is it simply more memory, or does the bigger system actually run faster and/or better? I am trying to decide which one to buy..

GymFox

Well if i were buying a slim at mo,then i'd go for the 250GB,cos of the bigger storage, and even though it's probrably exactly the same apart from the hard drive, then i'd know i was buying the most recently produced console.

I needed to charge my controller ,but i didn't want to leave my ps3 on for 3 hours, so i read you can charge the controller to any usb port. So i turned off my ps3, turned on my laptop and connected it, so now i can use the laptop while i wait for my ps3 controller to charge. But the controller's 4 lights are just flashing, and the 1st light isn't the only one flashinglikeit normally wouldwhile its charging, does that still mean that its charging?

Phantom454

Yes,still charging, just that you're not connecting up to a Ps3 so thats why the 4 flashing leds

A while back there was talk about BC coming back to the PS3, due to the technology being patented that could enable BC to work again. Anyone know what's going on with it right now?

Niv-Vigorous

well if the rumours i've read recently, and they would make financial sense for Sony,is that a large back catologue of PS2 classics will soon be available to buy and download on our Ps3s obviously with bc coded in per game.

That would also explain why you can still create internal PS2 memory cards on your non B.C. PS3s

CoD MW2 comes out on tuesday, but I havent got enough for it yet (Im getting it at Christmas). So I was thinking should I getCoD 4 aswell. I played it with my friend quite a bit and it was great, but when i looked there is a game of the year edition. What is the difference and is it worth getting the GOTY dedition instead?

full_on_gamer

Game of the year edition has the extra multiplayer maps you usually gotta pay more for by buying on PSN.
