i beat metal gear solid 4 about a year ago, and then i started looking back at all the mgs games that have come out, and i thought, there will never be a game series that has this much depth into everything (story, action, music, everythingggg) or any game that even comes close to being this good, do you agree?

ChAlDo205

Yep would sure agree with that.I've just picked up a new 80GB PS3-and 1st game ive installed on there is MGS4.

Have completed it a couple of times when it first came out on my old 60Gb PS3,but thought yesterday as i began to play it again-WOW-This game is still EXCELLENT!

I read you have to buy a stand, but has anybody tried to put it vertically, if I buy it it would be between my TV and a Wall so it wouldn't be too dangerous, the reason is I don't have place to put it horizontally but above the TV, (there is shelf) but I will use some wired things that will get in the way

Lisandro_v22

It will stand alone, but you'd be wise to buy a stand for it-Bit expensive if it were to topple over while you're playing a new game-Busted Ps3 and game!

The size doesn't matter. It's not like you are going to carry it around with you. If someone wanted a portable PlayStation, they would just buy the PlayStation Portable.

GAMESHARQ

If you were buying a new mobile and you had the choice of one the size of a house brick or another like modern day mobiles-which would you buy??

I think the cable is just shaped differently. I dont see why you need to know that...

but EVERYTHING else is the same. it just looks crappier and its scaled down smaller.

THE_BRUTALIZER

Well it actually has a smaller and cooler running processor chip,so it will run quieter than a FAT PS3 and probrably eliminates any freezing up problems.

does the slim use a differant power cable then the old ps3? also is the 120 gb hdd 5400 rpm? i might not even bother sticking my old 250gb hdd in there if the 120 is faster

railroberto2007

I think the new slim has smaller processor chipand so runs cooler and quieter, but not sure if cable will be the same as old PS3?

Ok so i got the E74 Error on my launch 360 console yesterday, after opening it and fixing it it worked for about 5 mins then it gave me the RROD. =(

So I reopened it and and fixed again and tala! it worked for only a minute and it turned off and BOOM! i get a two red lights, which means overheated.

So i reopen it and try to see whats up? and nothing, everything is perfectly fine but it still gives me the overheating lights when its perfectly cool, wtf!?!?

Anyone know whats wrong?

ShadowDeathX

Well i remember my 1st-launch 360 used to get so hot-even the casing, that i could've fried an egg on it-and it eventually got the rrod.

Sounds like yours has just gone into meltdown.

if it does i'll sell my 40GB For it

neosantana

You'd be wasting your time and money, like ive already said,i had the 60Gb version with BC and there was nothing spectaclur about playing my old PS1+2 games on it-I don't know why so many people go on about BC.Do yourself a favour and get a PS2 slim to suppliment your Ps3 if you really need to still play your retro games.

I have been looking everywhere trying to see if it can play PS2 games, but I've found nothing. Does anyone know? Thanks in advance :D

sweetfamilyguy

Get over it-The PS2 slim is cheap enough now to buy if you ant to play your old games.I had a PS3 60GB with B.C. and hardly ever used it for my old PS2 games-preffering to play them on my old+"Fat" PS2.

I sold my 60GB at start of this year and now planning to buy the new slim PS3.
