I did try and search the forums but failed, anyway..got rrod yesterday and am out of 3 years warranty..cba with towel trick or repairing it for like £50. So i am gonna buy a quick acrade package and i heard theres these Jasper Chips anyone know much about these and how i can get a xbox 360 with 1 of them in it?

Sgt_McMuffin

theres one certain way to tell if you're buying a Jasper 360 and thats by looking to see if the 360 has a 150 watt output power brick-175 watt is a Falcon.

It's on the label on underside of power brick.I don't know if there's any mention of it on outer carton label though?

just send your PRO to be fixed, it will come with jasper chip inside!GastaS
I doubt that will hapen as the Jasper 360s use a 150watt output power pack rather than the 175 watt one on a Pro.(HDMI-Falcon chipset) 360.Plus thats the way you can tell if you've bought a jasper 360-on the label on bottom of power brick there is an output wattage-if it's 150-then you've got yourself a new Jasper.

I just bought an arcade and can play online. The built in 256mb is enough space for the update. If he wants to download games, demos, or videos he's gonna have to buy a hard drive though.

You must have new Jasper chipset model. Were you able to save your profile within the 256mb and play online then?

A Doorstop or paperweight?-No seriously, sell it on ebay or trade it in against a new game in some game shop.

Can a badly scratched disc destroy your disc drive/laser? when my xbox is reading my scratched to death cod 4 disc it makes all kinds of strange noises like its going to shoot out of my disc drive its rather unpleasent to listen to.

Sam_Pettican

Not sure about that one?-But if your worried? Then it may be worth the couple of £s/$s taking it to your local Gamestation to have disc surface repaired in their disc repair machine.

Ok im about to sell my 360 and I was wondering that if the warranty can carry over to the person im selling it to? I don't want the 360 to RROD on him and then he has to pay an extra $100 to fix it

Cartoon703

i think the new owner should be able to re-register the console on Xbox .com/registrations and repair, and possibly the warranty will then carry over to them?

Why not just install the game. They'll all be quiet enough then.

It's the DVD drive that makes all the noise.

FamiBox

Ido install my games on my Elite which i believe must have Falcon chipset, though i only bought it 2 weeks ago.And yep,i realise that it's the dvd drive that makes most of the noise.I just wondered if there was any great overall noise difference between older 360s and the new Jasper chipset ones?

Hi All.Have any of you guys who now own a Jasper chipset 360 found it any quieter running than previous models such as Falcon?

[QUOTE="Caprellid"]

Has anyone had to send in their xbox for repairs...(to anyone whos xbox is pretty new)? I just wanted to see the failure rates of the newer xboxes...and the chances of my xbox dying on me.

(please don't mod this thread into RROD...)

My Elite is november 2008-Bought it last week-hoping it should be good,my 2007 Pro was problem free
