@Xristophoros: no it would not.....with things like USB C and the putting the port for the AMPED VGA add on cards in, it would be EASY.........then it would just turn off the main GPU and use the new one.....or it could get the old GPU to do other calculations....my point is we are already doing just this with laptops and mini PC's it could be done with consoles....
@NoisyPepper: find that funny.....even with a good sound card on my PC i still find a lot of games dont support 5.1 dolby live when the console version do.....games like far cry 4 come to mind.....i had to drop it to 2 channel to get any sound on the PC version.....no matter what im with you on good sound.....having real 5.1 in game will double your kill count and take down the number of times you get knifed......
@Sohereiam: did you miss sega in the 90's??? upgrading has been around for decades.......never mind the stuff the upgraded even older stuff like com 64 in the early 80's.......
@silv3rst0rm: "Console gaming used to be meant for "casual" players just willing to have fun"........how long has madden only been on consoles with the first version of Esports done in the world???....consoles are a billion dollar a year industry.....last as a manly PC gamer i have been in the living room for over 10 years now.....
@onemanarmyasd: but that is were they are at with this.....the hardware jumps are so often now they have to upgrade mid cycle.....and as a PC gamer i dont upgrade every 2 or 3 years its maybe every 3 or 4......and even then its still only a video card with a CPU in there every 5 years or so
"bringing the best upgradeability of the PC with the reliability of the console kept, so you're never going to have to deal with driver problems on a console, but you will get the newer hardware.”......
you still have driver updates and hardware problems on console but every one will have the same problem so it fixed faster.......with older systems having expansions it could be done again......with things like USB C and AMPED video card add ons for laptops in mini computers we could do this with next gen consoles to get the upgrades without buying all new consoles....
@Halloll: you can only do that with AMD CPU's at this point.....a i3 based system is a joke.....real world 700 is a better number......and is about what a lot of consoles gamers end up paying for the console and 5 years of online.....
@bigbadcrawford: that will never happen.....nintendo will close the doors before it makes games for other systems.......they have said that many times over the last 10 years.....
@genxtasy: sony charging 50 bucks for a 8gb memory card was a big problem.....and the later version of the vita not having a disc drive turned people off on getting the new version.....
@hardeddie: you dont have a real GB down speed......no server on the planet could support that now.....on top of that most people in the country dont have over a 20mb connection.......
