@nVxx: PC is not that same......with optimization the consoles get, a TF on them is not the same as a TF on PC.......i wish PC had that kind of optimization......

my biggest problem with all of it is the game makers.....they have 2 levels of hardware to make for and if you really look at AAA games on both they will have to work with 4 total hardware gens........with this many consoles to truly make for now how many game makers are going to spend millions making one 4k able, one 2k able one 1080p able and one 900p version of a game???........are they trying to fragment the market like droid or something???? are they going to give games options like PC games and let you tune it to your system??......

@kadaverhagga: the group was founded in 2002 not 2004......sony has been working on bluray in house since 1995......the group was started so sony would not have the fail of beta max and mini discs all over again.....bluray would not be here without sony just like the CD player would never have been made without them as philips would not have been able to do all of it......i cant find anything saying MIT ever worked on it but can find tons of stuff on sony being the first to show a prototype in 2000 at CES........can also find a ton of stuff on them working on it in house as far back 1995......

@jonnybrownieboy: sad fact is if its a port or really railing on DX12 the AMD cards are going to run it better.......most of the gaming world still does not have a 10 series card and a ton of people are running stuff as far back as the 5 series......we will have to wait and see.....and one other thing.....when GPU makers bundle games i was under the thinking most of the time the card makers were paying for the copy and taking it out of the sales money.....its not like MS is paying to make this happen......why would they??? they dont care if nvidia sells video cards....that is just business.....the market is already healthy and nvidia out sell AMD like 4 to 1 or some thing crazy like that.....

@pongley: no its going to happen faster then you think......they are starting to get production levels up for the chips this round.......plus the X70 level of cards in nvidia's line up have always been closer to the 400 to 350 marks at release with them dropping to the 300 to 329 range in 6 months most of the time

GTX 570 was 350 at release and was sold at 275 before the word of the 6 series was out.....the 670 was 400 but dropped really fast to 350 with some makers like zotac dropping 329 cards with in the first 3 months.......the 770 also 399 but dropped quickly to 329 for most makers......all of them had these price drops before the next gen came out and a couple happened as far 8 months before new gens.......with out it being some thing crazy like a ASUS mars or some with double the memory and a sick 3 fan cooler or custom already installed water block the X70 level of cards should never be over 400 bucks.......and truth be told a lot of them at retail right now are still over 400 with going to 500 bucks for a 1070.........
