I hear a high pitched noise sometimes on my new computer. Is your computer new or have you had it for a while??

Well if my computer cant run CSS at high settings that would be truly disappointing seeing as it has a dual core AMD processor,  a fairly good graphics card and 2 gigs of ram. Plus it is made by a company that delivers powerful pc's.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice :)

i dont think i need to install drivers on my computer because for a start the moniter doesnt come with a cd but just a cd that tells you about the moniter. I have maxed out the resolutions and my icons are much smaller but the picture quality seems to have increased. Thanks for the advice everybody:)

So basically the native resolution is the resolution that is already established with the moniter and probably does not need changing. Thanks for all the help :)

1680x1050 is the max resolutions for it but on the windows media center it has the resolutions down as 1024x748. Would this mean the desktop resolutions would be the same and in general if i was playing games?? Would you recommend that i change my current resolutions setting to the highest resolutions(1680x1050)??

Hey people I have just bought a computer with a wicked 22 inch moniter but sometimes I get the impression that the picture quality could be a little better. The max resolutions i can run it at is 1680x1050. The windows vista media center tells me the resolutions could be better but is there a way it can automatically find the best resolutions?? Any help would be appreciated:)

I ONLY have 1 nvidia 8500 GT graphics card in at the moment and you are definately right not to get 2 because the graphics performance probably wouldnt change much. I have heard a lot about the 8800 graphics card and to me it sounds really good. Maybe one day i might consider buying it:)

Thanks again to everyone that posted in. The advice has really helped me :)

Thanks dude, I am a bit of a computer noob so any tips on cleaning and looking after it would be a great help. I got it from meshcomputers.com so its worth taking a look on the site. I WARN YOU THOUGH MESH=GOOD COMPUTERS=VERY UNRELIABLE! As long as it can run CSS,hl2 and hl2 deathmatch I am happy:) Thanks for all the help its always appreciated.
