You might be able to get a gtx 470 for £200, and when overclocked it will be a beastly cardSystem:
3.4GHZ Quad (AMD Phenom 2 X4 BE)
4GB DDR3 1333 RAM
8800GTX
M4A79XTD EVO MOBO
600W Corsair PSU
I want an ATI card tbh and my price range is around £200
I want to be able to play future releases like Crysis 2 (I read it will require less than Crysis 1 +WH) at near enough max settings on a kinda low resolution smoothly (1360x768 res)
So yeah a £200 +/- GPU :P
Tah!

Yeah I dont use crossfire or SLI (never have probably never will), and although I would love to use 3 monitors, that is not something I will be doing anytime soon :P. Thank you for all your help! To clarify again, which model would you buy? I figured I would buy the EVGA 1GB GTX460 on Newegg, but I am wondering if it really matters whether or not I buy the Superclocked one or the standard. They are both the same price after MIR right now. Is there any advantage to overclocking it yourself?
Standard
Superclocked

Actually both of those are super clock models. One is just oced more then the other. Both are gonna be able to overclock some more with ease. Thats really on you since price is same though i think one has higher shipping.
Before you think about those take a look at the gigabyte oc and msi hawk versions, both are excellent for overclocking and have dual fans to keep it running cooler than a single fan.[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"]
I think its preference in a way, but personally i found the gtx 460 to be a good buy because A. it overclocks very well and very easily, B. its stays cool (mine idles around 24-27 degrees, load 55 max) and C. it runs games at 1080p fine so far. Also the nvidia drivers are decent, never caused me hassle.

Ah thanks for the stats on that. I figured the 460 would run hot since it takes so much power, I guess I was wrong.
No problem, but bear in mind this is with the gigabyte oc version (imo one of the best versions ^^) which has 2 fans and also the ambient temp in my room is pretty low. Having said that, the cooling is very good with the gigabyte and msi versions and probably most of the cards so i think its great value, especially since it has so much potential for a great overclock.I guess that'd be the best option. Wasnt exactly relishing in the idea of purchasing a new pc monitor as they are quite expensive and way over-priced for what they are :PJM_MUFCI totally disagree, my benq monitor with led back lighting was a really good price and is decent with a much finer/brighter picture than my old tv. Lcd monitors and tv's have dropped in price a lot
Dont get black ops, but if your looking for a cod game similar then either get mw2 or cod 4. Left 4 dead 2 is great though, really good fun especially when playing onlineLeft 4 dead 2 or Call of duty black ops?
Aswedraq
Left 4 dead isnt crap, its a very different kind of game anyway. It certainly is amazing. I love the game and it seems a bit underacknowledged when compared to Left 4 Dead (crap game) and Team Fortress 2 (good but overrated). Personally Battlefield is my favorite FPS series, but Counterstrike offers something different and is really fun. Deagle FTW 8)

My processor won't let me play the game too well, so no.

You should look into upgrading that poor thing. Your GTX 460 is bottlenecked.
Yeah so true, also 2gb of ram is going to bottleneck you as well no doubt. Its going to be on the leaked steam Potato Pack.CoolSkAGuyI saw that in a post but wasnt sure whether its true or not. Do you know when its going to be released/the cost of it? Thanks
[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"][QUOTE="JM_MUFC"]Need to save some space as im a student living in a studio apartment, my Graphics card is a XFX ATI Radeon HD 5750. Would i be able to use my 32" tv as my monitor when gaming or would it be overkill?JM_MUFCWhat do you mean "overkill"? I think it depends really, if your sitting close to it then the quality might not be great as its a large tv, and also its not gonna do your eyes any favours haha :P. You could use your tv as a monitor though By overkill i meant was the TV screen a bit too big to be using as a pc monitor ;) . Also its already done my eyes in, playing Black Ops in 1080p when less than 2 meters from screen for 6 hours plus was the worst idea i ever had... :( Thanks for the advice tho. Haha i used to have a 27" lcd and that used to be ok, but 32" is pretty big for a pc monitor if ur sitting close to it. You could down grade and get a nice led screen for example. ohh and np xD
