A lot of people go on about Allods online, which i played but didnt really enjoy that much. I think tbh with you, it would be better if you stay away from f2p mmorpgs, a lot of them are pretty rubbish, and give advantages to the people who are paying in the item shops. Maybe you should consider saving up for a game like guild wars as it has no monthly fees, just pay once for the game and expansions (if your interested in them)..

I guess majority of companies always have the nvidia trademark "best played with nvidia" hence why, and also ATI cards to have a few hiccups in glitches here and there, and require a fair bit of driver updates (theyre actually small issues, nothing major), but by default, everything is pretty much compatible with Nvidia cards. Also u get cuda and PhyX which drives the price up.

Physx, Cuda, Better drivers.. that's all I can guess. Also the 460GTX kinda punches a hole in your statement :P although it's pretty new.

Sorry but to all that are saying LoL isnt competitive, well your wrong. Games can be competitive actually, so long as people dont leave or go afk which can be a real problem with this game :S. Im not saying you need mad skills to play it, im saying games can be really close knit sometimes, and i really think this will be made into a more competitive game. I just cant believe its free tbh, its one of my favourite games now haha ^^ x

Ok i need to ask this now, as i dont get it, i was looking at ati gpu's, they seemed much faster AND cheaper than the nvidia cards. Why is this?

Thats what i wondered too, my amd quad core processor @2.8ghz was cheaper than the intel quad @ like 2.4ghz but i was told it was because that processor has a better cache (L3 instead of L2)...hmm :S

I pretty much figured out everything else about my computer except for the CPU and GPU. And judging by what those are maybe I would have to change the motherboard.

This is the CPU I was thinking of getting:

AMD Athlon II X3 440 Rana 3.0GHzhttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103843

And heres the GPU:

Radeon HD 5770 1GB OC http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125327

basicaly, this is what I had lined up for my 500 dollar range PC im trying to make. I dont care about running Crysis on High or Ultra, but I would like to maybe run SC 2 on medium or maybe even high. Ultra would be nice, but im not expecting that with this card.

There was also this GPU that wasnt much mroe expensive then the 5770: GeForce GTX 460 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130562&cm_re=Nvidia_GTX460-_-14-130-562-_-Product

What do you guys think?

The processor looks alrite, but dude that graphics card is awesome, better than mid range i'd say ;)

Hi guys, i was just wondering whether or not i should bother installing the latest gpu drivers, the one i have for my card atm isnt that old, but when looking at the release notes of the new update, i cannot see it benefiting me, so should i bother installing it or not?
