Hi there, havent been on the forums for a while but need some help. I'm going to build my own pc (with the help of my friend), and i want to buy a cool looking case with a see-through side panel. Not sure what to get though, the ones on ebay look cool, but a lot come with psu's that look dodgy. Anyway, if u can find me one for £30 or under it wud be great. One last thing, this is the psu i will probably buy todayhttp://www.pyramid.com/CiT/CiT_650UB_Black_Edition-650W-PSU-Power_Supply_Unit.aspx?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=freesite&$$tid=ZBE2ki71ngs2n9t2uNTfiC8aQpKGPdcLBteiDmNIEo187coqovlp5U0sfmS9ytYfdoes this look reliable? thank you, Sean

You seem pretty knowledgeable about the components you want. Have you considered building your own PC?jcohenx
Thanks ^^. Yeh i have considered it but i cant afford to mess it up, and with my impatience and luck its probly a bad idea haha :). So getting a pre built saves me time and worry i guess :P

I think i will stick to an AMD dual core because they are cheaper. I was looking at a 500 watt psu :)

I'm confused...I thought TC just wanted to know if "www.dinopc.com" was a trustworthy site or not, he wasn't asking for a PSU...

But i'm not familiar at all with dinopc, the site seems well made but i've never heard of them (I'm from the US so thats why)...

Edit: just went and looked around at reviews for DinoPc and everyone i read seemed in support of them, and didn't mention anything about their PSU's going bad, plus they do have a 3 year warranty (1 year on parts, 3 for labour)...if you link to the particular one you are looking at it may list what PSU is actually in it and then we can judge on that

Ok well I was looking at home/office pc's range because they are the cheapest and i can customize some of them basically into gaming machines. So they all come with the same range of psu's, and i was looking at the 500w Eagle. You should be able to find this if you click on customise on the home/office pc's and then scroll down till you see the psu's. Thanks very much, Sean

Ok, so you may have seen my posts about getting a new pc...well i was confident at first, but im unsure now because the company i want to buy it from seem to be selling dodgy psu's that come with the pc's. This is the site, www.dinopc.com . I'd appreciate if you could let me know whether i should trust them or not, i was looking at the home/office pc's but it seems they come with bad psu's...

How about the Xtrac Ripper? It's large and smooth. I love mine and it's only $13.99

[QUOTE="sn4k3_64"]

I think having looked at the total price with a pretty decent graphics card, a quad core processor is out of the question lol :P

alvaro_pg
Well a dual core CPU + a 9800 should run games pretty damn well :) I recently build a 3 core phenom, 500gb hdd, 4GB ddr2, 9800GT pc for US$ 550 and it runs everything nicely

Sounds good 2 me :P. One thing im a bit annoyed about is that i looked up the psu i wanted to get with this prebuilt system, and found the reviews to be really awful. So i might have to dish out more money and buy the 700w that is available
