alright thanks guys, what do you think the best aspect of a fansite is? no ads? streamlined databases? up to date news? or something else?thedocta4172

I'd say up to date and accuracte information is the strongest factor. No ads is pretty high up there :)

Doesn't this belong in the "Gaming corporation paranoid gossip" thread section?

People get hired from one company to the other in every industry known to man all the time.

Id has kind of fallen off my radar, but I'd like to see some more Valve games pop up before I die, so I take this as potentially good news.

Maybe my searching has just been unlucky or something, but I have been unable to locate a good compendium of Skyrim known knowledge, aka a good wiki on the game. Most major releases have them, such as Diablo III's www.diablofans.com, but I haven't been able to find one for Skyrim. I usually go to PCgamers.com's discussion boards, and that has been fairly satisfying, but I'd like a site dedicated to it. Any ideas?

Tbh I'm slightly concerned about Diablo III's graphics. Either they haven't been releasing very high definition shots/videos, or it's starting to look dated before it even gets released. The stuff they're showing now looks the same quality as it did four years ago, and that's a problem. Yet another issue with taking six years to develop a game...

Saw this a few weeks ago, looks great and I'll definitely buy it as some point, however I have to say that their release schedule couldn't be worse. Get it out in the next 4-5 months, and that'll be good. But releasing it next year? In the wake of Diablo III...? gotta be kidding me on that decision making paradigm.

[QUOTE="thedocta4172"]Anyone got any fresh news on Diablo 3? I've been on d3sanc.com , they're pretty up to date, any other good websites for Diablo 3 news and info?snared04

www.diablofans.com is the absolute best site for Diablo III news, bar none. The guys that run it often have direct contact with Jay Wilson and other Blizzard representatives, and are super on the ball when it comest to tracking down fresh news.

And the Diablo Wiki Link at the top of that page's site will take you to a pretty damn good compilation of what is already known/confirmed.

Say "I'd like to ask you something.."

"Where is..."

Then ask where she is, Lady XXXX, and he'll tell you where she currently is. Ladies don't travel with anyone, they just teleport from one castle to the next, so asking a lord of the faction that she belongs to is the best bet to finding the one you're looking for.

Mount and Blade: With Sword and Fire:

-Looting makes no money, you have to trade.

-There are maybe half the social interaction possibilities from MB: Warband, including the inability to marry.

-Guns are super powerful and pretty stupid because a wall of musketeers pretty much owns everything.

-Cavalry is pointless.

-You can only recruit from the very spread out mercenary locations

-You have to pay to upgrade soldiers' equipment.

I guess I just don't know what they were thinking with this game...

In my opinion, the original was awesome, and Warband pretty much fixed all those problems. I could have used a much better, less rigid social interaction system, some tweaks to skills, etc. But in my opinion, they pretty much took With Sword and Fire in the completely wrong direction. Very, very dissapointed in this, especially considering how much I loved Warband.

Thoughts?
