@sheephats: Hey moron - it's not about what anyone believes, it's about what the truth is.

The documentation says:

- Initial and proposed pricing is REVIEWED by Valve.

- Only certain publisher accounts have the NECESSARY permissions to make these adjustments.

- Valve GRANTS the permission to alter your price.

None of this implies that all publishers set their prices at any given time. All it means is that some can some of the time. It's not absolute like your trying to make out.

ur so clueless that u believe valve decides the price for ur own products and yet u call me a moron?

the truth is ur a mad kid that doesnt know shit. u can sell ur game for the price u decide its ur game u tool.

this is valves store so if you **** up like i know u would then they might come in and help u with ur price. if you troll like i know you would then they might adjust ur shitty price because u didnt know shit about the market. the baseline is that u decide the price but if u make the price $10000 then valve might step in.

lofl u even betted he cant post a source and guess what??? HE DID and now ur backpaddling with insults because u got fucked up.

Actually, you threw the first insult with "dummy", so who's backpedalling on that now?

I read through the source given to me, and what I said hasn't been challenged.

I agree with your grandmother. Sadly, too many people are trying to expand their safe space into everyone else's spaces.

Exactly. It's actually very dangerous if it gets a good a handle on things.

According to EA, your grandmother fought on the beaches at Normandy alongside your grandfather.

Promoting Cause X by deliberate campaigning presumes that some group requires some sort of education. This may be true, but do the people "educating" you have motivations that are subversive?

I heard that a rival gaming and website had banned a certain string of words recently. I thought this was interesting as the string of words they've evidently banned aren't vulgar, aren't racist, sexist or obviously offensive in their own right. I tested this on the site, and it's true - they are banned.

The words are:

Social Justice Warrior

I just wanted to test if Gamespot had a similar policy...

@Jacanuk: I read throught the documentation and it says the following:

- Initial and proposed pricing is REVIEWED by Valve.

- Only certain publisher accounts have the NECESSARY permissions to make these adjustments.

- Valve GRANTS the permission to alter your price.

None of this implies that all publishers set their prices at any given time. All it means is that some can some of the time. It's not absolute like your trying to make out. And why would it be?

If EA wanted to hurt Steam, they could release a game on Steam for $0.01 and drive Steam's resources into the ground managing the access, the bandwidth, the updates, the transactions, the billing, the support etc. etc.
