Im curious as to

1. What version of windows are you running?

2. Did you get errors after connecting to your pc?

3. If it wasnt visible and your using XP or later you should go to control panel- admin tools - computer management - disk manager - if it inst showing here I seriously doubt a mac is going to make a difference.

CorporateHammer

1 i tried on vista and on XP

2 no

3 If i go there i see it but it doesn't assign a letter and to assign a letter i have to reate a particion (i don't know if that word exists but i don't have my windows on english) and to do that i have to format it

Dude...

You already made one thread, one is enough.

Secondly, if your HDD is done for (yellow light of death) then I doubt you'll be accomplishing much with any type of computer to try and back up data.

Now lets look at this from a logical standpoint.

You know that your sister is coming home with her MAC. Therefore, YOU, yes YOU, will be able to try it out for yourself when she arrives.

Why do you need to create a thread ahead of time to find out if it will work or not, when YOU WILL FIND OUT as soon as she arrives?

Either way, I highly doubt it.

because my 40gb ps3 sees it but i have to format it to continue, my computer sees it but it doesn't assign a letter. so i can't sopy its info

EmperorSupreme

Just note because it sees your drive doesn't mean it is actually functioning. You probably won't know unless you actually reformat it. I can't think of a way for you to not lose your data unless you have a friend with a 60gb PS3 then. Maybe someone else has some advice. Either way you only lose your save data, anything else you should be able to redownload.

do you think that a mac would recognize it????
