@Enragedhydra: I'm sure he was talking a bit more with regards to big, AAA titles.
soul_starter's forum posts
A little bit. My EA games on PC are via Origin. Now as a platform, it is pretty good and considering games are direct from EA they are well optimised, which can be a problem via Steam and their terrible tech service. The community is cool though and have received help through them.
The big difference is Origins online rule. Eff that.
@kod: Look, if we are to have a discussion on this, we have to be intellectually honest, I am assuming you accept that.
Now, the website you posted is famous (or infamous) for being a centre of Islamophobia and a laughing stock of the internet. One the part you posted, they even make the concession that a string of verses they have quoted have nothing to do with rape...and then carry on with their so called analysis.
In fact, the verses quoted from Surah 24 have nothing to do with rape but to do with the proposed adulterous accusations labelled at one of the wives of the Prophet PBUH and his verse is AGAINST those allegations and introduced a law that any man or woman that accuses another individual of adultery without any evidence is to be flogged. Can you tell me a single law in western society that defames and punishes those that accuse others of adultery? Just in recent times we have seen young teenage girls become extremely depressed or commit suicide because they were labelled "sluts" etc. Nothing to do with rape here.
The first verse quoted, from Surah 2 (the longest section of the Quran) actually deals with the financial stipulations and that ONLY in such situations may a woman's testimony/witness (while signing a legal, financial document to be precise) be regarded as half that of a man. In fact, the most important act of giving witness/testimony is the act of religion and in that aspect, the testimony of a woman is exactly equal to a man. Again, nothing to do with rape.
So, the question still stands.
@SecretPolice: You literally just mentioned games from 5 or more years ago...why would I buy a very expensive new console for those?
@nintendoboy16: If the Democrats wanted change, surely they could have done it in the 90s...or most of the last 10 years?
@borninblood60: Can I see factual information on how Islam promotes all those things you claim it does? Thanks.
@comeonman: Regardless of when it was passed and by whom, the law was waived off 3 times due to concerns with regards to international policy and national security. Those problems are worse now than ever before, so it takes an absolute monster or idiot of a President to bring it into effect. Not to mention the illegalities involved considering Jersusalem's eastern border is not internationally recognised and was annexed from Jordan, a dispute which has never been resolved.
But hey, let us not allow the truth to get in the way.
@Bread_or_Decide: No one is saying it doesnt have games, that would be a ridiculous argument . My point is simple, why would someone buy it if they have a PS4 and even a PC?
@SecretPolice: what alt? and the xbox is selling less month on month than the ps4, life time sales are less than half and most importantly (and back on track) it doesnt have any worthwhile exclusives. Its two biggest brands Halo and Gear just had their worst outings yet.
So why would anyone buy it now?
