@GameboyTroy: Yeah but Im worried about how much of it is online?
soul_starter's forum posts
@Macutchi: I dunno, if the PS5 definitely slated for 2019? If so, it would be the tailend and I doubt TLOU2 releases that late.
@pug987: youve PLAYED and BEATEN that many games? Jeez you might wana stop playing and go outside.
I'm serious, no more games till 2018 and then get the exclusives.
I think I might end up buying PC2, as I really need a new racing game (played F1 2016 to death) and I dont wana get microforza.
Next year will be huge, if all release dates are met, for PS4 owners. AAA exclusive after AAA exclusive. Some brand new, some sequels/reboots and a fully remade SoC too! O take me!
@Macutchi: It depends. I road tested the switch just as it released and as I stated then, battery life is a problem if you want to use it for handheld gaming. If you dont, do you really need to spend THAT much money, for games that are more expensive than on PC and other consoles, for a last gen experience? Admittedly Zelda and Mario are a great plus but is a total of 2 top games enough?
Now, if you are satisfied with all those aspects, then I see no reason why you shouldnt buy it. If not, then hold off till mid next year when you can possibly get it for cheaper.
@demi0227_basic: It's sad remember games released in the previous 2 gens and comparing them to what we're seeing now. No doubt graphics and even some gameplay quality is exceptional but the inclusion of gambling is a terrible idea and its getting worse. Games are no longer games.
@Kusimeka: I edited that post with regards to what OP asked.
In terms of publishers (especially those who are an umbrella brand and incorporate many "in house" developers) I don't think Nintendo beats Sony this gen...and maybe not even SE. No doubt Nintendo have critically and commercially hit it out the park with Zelda this year (I think its the best Zelda since N64) and possibly with Mario too. BUt thats after years of Mario and Zelda titles not living up to their predecessors.
Anyway, maybe this all requires a separate thread.
@Mercenary848: Microtransactions are not unique to consoles, unless you're telling me Destiny, Mordor, Forza et al are different on PC compared to consoles?
@Kusimeka: I take your point about SE, but it gets back to what I said "the more pertinent question is about publishers" because thats what Nintendo and SE and co really do.
With that in mind, Id rank it, based on my lifetime:
Sony
Konami
Nintendo
SE
I guess the order can be changed a bit. Throw in EA too.
Edit: had to do this because I just re read the first post, and my point is even more pertinent. There is no gaming studio called Nintendo. Or in fact, Sony etc. So yep, better and more accurate to talk about publishers.
