@RSM-HQ: Well thats you but most PS4 owners will love to get into GOW, Detroit, Spiderman and the others.

Plus, I don't think anyone papers over the cracks of colossus, which has often been criticised for its controls, and rightfully so but it was a different time and if you go back and play a number of great games from that time, the controls would be a mess by modern standards.

Forgot to mention the biggest 3rd party game going atm, RDR2.

If one has a PS4, almost all the bases are covered in the coming months.

Whenever a thread like this pops up I always have to mention one game: Freedom Fighters!!!

Its one of the best, squad based, semi open structure 3rd person shoot em ups ever. Im pretty sure it sold well and had a great critical reception. Imagine bringing it back with all the hardware at our disposal nowadays. Having said that I am also reminded that a new game might have a persistent online environment, loot boxes and online squad gaming....might wana leave it as it is...

@HardMode88: Ok first off, where do I get the FF IX remake???

And I hope Sony re-release Vagrant Story soon and they upgrade the graphics with it. Would be an insta buy for me.

Oh and in terms of FF IX, what I meant was SE actually cretaing another game in that particular universe, you know, like how they had numerous X, XII and XIII games.

Vagrant Story!

I cant believe we only got 1 game in the series even though it sold well. It also has one of the best battle systems in any rpg, *** or western.

I would also like an addition to the Chrono series as some have already mentioned.

Oh and how about giving us something else set in the FF IX universe? I mean SE cant seem to get enough of 7 and 13 but 9 had one of my fav ever worlds and characters.

I only particularly like funny cheats but developers no longer use or allow cheats...you have to actually change the game code to get that done and it can, at times, mess up the game itself. So its not really much of a miss for console gamers.

@valgaav_219: Exactly!

If microtransactions were optional and didnt take away from the gaming experience, for example, the historical use of dlc and expansions then I'd be "meh" about the whole thing. The problem is, microtransactions have become a part of numerous sp games, on top of that they have almost taken skill out of the equation in mp games and with the addition of loot boxes they've now added gambling as a hook.

The games industry is a sham...a barely concealed ,worse than Hollywood sham.

I've played enough of UC4 to label it a game verging on being great, but Ill need to buy it and get down to it properly one week. It has the story telling of the original series but expands upon the more open gameplay of TLOU, with tight controls and the best platforming in the series.

As for the trilogy, I'm up and down about it. The original was good for its time but controls feel too flaky now and Drake floats over the environment. UC2 mixed the cinematics of the original with a cool story, some of the best set pieces and a limited "hand hold" experience. UC3 felt too much like a playable tech demo with very little freedom across segments but adding in the mp, it was a well rounded experience.

Great question as I am a huge stealth game fan, so I'll list my top 10 here...its in a particular order but that order isnt set in stone:

1. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (not better than MGS4 which is next but the stealth aspect is superior)

2. MGS 4 (very few things are better than stealthing through a warzone)

3. MGS

4. Hitman (the original still tops everything in the series in terms of stealth)

5. Thief II

6. Manhunt (oh...what a game!)

7. MGS 3 (upped the ante with wider environments)

8. Assassin's Creed (the original got a lot right, stealth was one of those things)

9. Splinter Cell

10. Commandos 2
