Of course PS5 will happen!

I do not think it will happen soon, at leats not till 2019. However, even if this gen does last another 18 months or so, it will be the most lacklustre generation in terms of AAA titles ever.

Also I agree, the controller needs to be challenging but not so problematic that you end up unable to play without a wheel. Forza imo handles it perfectly. GT does too, even in its last few iterations which were mediocre but as someone who doesnt want to buy a wheel, I handled the game well.

TW3 as you say, is great at dialogue, world building and characters but it lags behind in a number of areas (Actually pushing ahead with meaningful plot line at times) and on top of all that, yes the combat is pretty average. I will not say it's bad but it is cumbersome at times, unimaginative at others and for someone that is supposed to be a bad ass killer who is the talk of the town, to take so long in acquiring the required ingredients/equipment to carry out certain hunts is just plain annoying.

I think this is a game I would have enjoyed a lot more 10 years ago when I had tonnes more time, right now, I don't have enough time to sink in 2-3 hours just to collect certain items and build up enough to fight certain enemies, or to take 3-4 hours to complete a set of missions pertaining to quests that do not go anywhere.

@RSM-HQ: I was actually looking into the wipeout collection and since I never bought it on the PS3, I might get it now. Also , just looking at that pic, I'd love a fully remade Resi 4!

@GTR12: Realy good points. Hopefully GT Sport brings great gaming back to the PS brand...problem is, I have positively disliked their games for so long now. Anyway, I'm here to be proven wrong. Btw quick question on Drive Club, is it an online game or is there a hefty sp experience?

The only 2017 game I've finished is BOTW and i twas really good but not great. I've also played the demos for Prey, Hitman and Nier.

However, the best game I've played in 2017 is TItanfall 2 and I got back into Age of Empires 3, totally forgot how good it was.

I havent played Horizon but wfrom what I've seen, it looks better but yeah, UC 4 and Horizon are two of the best looking console games around and in reality, two of the best looking games period. Doesnt mean UC4 is a great game. From what I played it was fun but didnt do anything memorable.

I kinda wanted to say something about Spidey games as opposed to other superhero games. The Webslinger has not faired THAT bad in the medium, if we're being fair. Spidey 1 and 2 all those years gao are still thought of fondly but the cell shaded, original story Spiderman games that were released last gen received quite a few positive reviews from critics and gamers alike and were never regarded as bad games.

That is entirely opposite to games like Batman Begins et al.

Spiderman, with or without Insomniac was already in a better position and woudl have to go some for them to make a really bad game.
