ME2? ME3? I can't remember, maybe my memory is playing games with me. Fallout 4 for sure though.

I can't get through the last few hours of FO4, it's just so repetitive and the story gets boring with little oomph.

FO3 was just the better game, one of the best games ever madei n fact with a superior story and far better characters and "moments".

Forgot to add WWE 2K16 (no idea why I bought this). It's nowhere near as fun as the wrestling games I played as a kid. 5/10

Also, got to add in COD: Infinite Warfare. This game gets a lot of flak but as it was the first COD I bought and played in years, I really enjoyed it. The space shooting missions are cool if a bit easy, the set pieces are fun and the weapons are really enjoyable to use. I don't play the mp so there's not much to do beyond the sp, however as I got the game for free, I'm cool with that. 6/10.

...and rate the game you have. Mine is:

MGS V 6/10

Uncharted Collection 7.5/10

Fallout 4 7.5/10

The Witcher 3 8/10 (yet to complete)

PES 2016 7/10

FIFA 17 8/10

Mad Max - I'll rate it when I play more of it

I have such a back log too, and in the next year or so I will try and complete a couple of those games and buy Horizon, with God of War and Detroit hopefully releasing too.

Because in-engine clips rarely look better or as good as pre rendered CGI

I haven't played it obviously but from the demo they showed it looked like it held your hand way too much, more Uncharted 3 than Batman Arkham. That's a major problem for me as I like games tha toffer me more creative freedom to do what I want with the action, rather than "go here, press, watch pre-set cutscene". Hopefully we see more of the game and i'm proven wrong, because Insomniac are a good developer but who knows.

Having said that, I've never been a fan of the Batman games mentioned so I hope it's not like them anyway lol

Played VII, VIII and IX during the original PS1 run and they all blew me away. I'd never played games with those types of graphics, game play, story etc etc. For me, my favourite is probably VIII although I loved the look of IX too and VII is great. I can certainly understand the opinion that its the best game ever.

@iandizion713: How can you say you can't climb in Skyrim? You either haven't played the game or are lying which is pathetic considering this is a gaming forum lol

And what do you mean there aren't games where wildlife does not react? I already gave you the example of RDR, you mentioned Far Cry which I forgot, in particular Far Cry 3. Then you also have Fallout 3 and 4 with various types of creatures that react depending on their nature (some more violent than others). How is that new? You're acting as if these games don't exist and if they do, you're just saying "NO! IT NOT HAPPENY!" you sound like a child.

Jeez, some people on here.

@SoNin360: I concur. MGS V is a prime example of a useless open world.

In terms of the OP, sadly it's a trend that's been around for many years now, with everyone going down the route of leveling up and/or grinding through boring quests to gain a certain number of exp to level up to move on.

I'd just like an action game where you learn new skills throughout various levels and pick up weapons without the need for stupid leveling up all the time.
