Recently i bought this Hard Drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152111but after using it i'd noticed that the PS3 was taking a lot of time to start, and the screen was all black for even 2 minutes and more before staring. Now i reinserted the old one and it's working right. They one that came with my PS3 is a Fujitsu Drive, should i change it with a Fujitsu or which brand?

I recently bought a new Samsung Hard Drive from Ebay for my Ps3, but after changing it the system was taking too long to boot and was very slow when selecting. After reinserting the old drive it's Begin to work right but here's the problem: I'd tookout the newer drive, recovered my data and i'm using the now the old one but i forgot to format the newer. I have only like 15 days to return the drive and my question is, If i send it back without deleting the data can someone else use it or do i have to reinsert it and format it.

So if i take out the the one i'm using and reinsert the new one to format it, will i still have all my current data in the one i'm using?

I recently change my PS3 Hard Drive with a new Samsung 320GB one but now the PS3 is taking a lot of time to boot, even today when i turned it on the screen was all black and the Hard Drive indicator light was off. Can i take it out and reinsert it into the same console to see if it's not well connected without losing all my data.

You can take it out and put the same one back in again without having to reformat.

At least i wont lose my data. Thanks

It seems like most PS3's make noise. Good to know.

No, the PS3 has to format the drive and install essential files for operation. raven_squad
It's been installed in my PS3 for 6 days. Right now after doing that it's working.
