[QUOTE="ale_gamr"][QUOTE="soulreaper-4"] Oh brother! I understand that the majority using these forums are kids that want everything to cost $100.00 but i don't see what part of saving they don't understand. When i was younger i used to safe to get my consoles and games. On the other side most don't think it twice to spent $250 on an ipod just for music.Ovirew
LOL. People would call a console expensive when they would spend $600 on a cell phone and a ipod. They're simply an enigma.
I agree with I Forgot It. The 3DS is pretty dang expensive and doesn't offer enough bang for the buck. Until there are better games for it, it really isn't worth having around. Nobody understands the value of a dollar anymore, and this guy probably has the right idea by waiting a couple of years to buy a 3DS. Electronics are one thing that always rapidly drop in price over time, and usually it's best to wait for a system revision when all of the bugs are worked out and the hardware is improved. And nobody said that I Forgot It even has a $600 phone and IPod - he probably doesn't and probably also thinks it's stupid to pay that kind of money for that stuff. So cut the guy some slack, he makes a valid point. It's his money and his choice. I got one already because I wanted to have one before the holiday season and I got my tax returns at that time. Otherwise, I would have waited. And so far none of the games for the system are all that impressive, and many of the games I am interested in that have release dates are ports/remakes of existing games. But I am ready for when the good original games do come out - I am $250.00 ahead of everyone else anyway. The 3DS is expensive but not "dang expensive". I have one and i think it should be like $200 or $180. My point is that a lot of people specially on gaming site's forums think every console and portable should cost $100 dollars and on top of that they want them to have every function in existence with state of the art technology. Some have come as far as to compare mobile games with true games from dedicated systems, they even want every full real game sofware to cost super cheap from the very launch day like if they were those mobile minutes experiences. I personally don't think a pricedrop after 1-2 years is fast; Do you know how much and how many thinks can happen in a year or two? One think i have learned in life is: If you want something and can afford it go get it, use it. Life can take many turns and we shouldn't life just waiting for the future. There aren't really any games I'm interested in at the moment and I don't want to pay the current price point of the handheld. In a few years we'll probably see a new model (ever since the GBA, Nintendo has released a new model of their current handheld approximately every two years) , and if not, the great collection of games that get released will be available for a good cheap price. i got mine on launch day, but i see why people are waiting (too expensive, no colour selection and hardware itself) but for the people who are waiting for a newer version it might be a long wait, at least 2 years, because thats how the ds lite was it came out 2 years after the original ds. i can definitely see people waiting because of the lack of games. im still waiting on OOT 3D, and the rest of the awesome games that are gonna be coming out......excited for E3!!!!

Didn't the DS Lite come out 14 months after the DS in japan?
Yeah but it had many flaws. It was chunky, the screens didn't had too much light, the action buttons were very small, the design wasn't that great, didn't had cover for the GBA games slot, weighted too much and so on.Yeah sure, go play God of War 3, Uncharted, and so on using a phone.About time. It's definitely not too early to start on a new platform considering most cell phones releasing this summer are more powerful than the current consoles and their archaic 2005 technology.

It is a pretty simple concept. Which of these two options would you prefer. 20 hours of entertainment for $8. VC version 25 hours of entertainment for $30. DS version Obviously the first choice is preferable for a rational gamer. Therefore, the first choice, the VC version, deserves a higher score. Like I said, you can find it on amazon for between 15 and 19 dollars and some change, and you get the actual cartridge which you can actually touch and own and have for years. What happens when you get rid of your Wii?[QUOTE="metswonin69"][QUOTE="turtlethetaffer"]
My question is how the VC version could possibly be better when all the DS version did was add on to the original.

In all honesty though, I don't think buying it either way is a bad choice. However, although I'd rather play this on a big screen, I'd rather actually own the game on a cartridge rather than have a download version of it that's stuck on my system.
It is stuck in your system but i am almost sure Nintendo will do what they are gonna do with the 3DS. An update to tranfer your games to the upcoming console.
