Yeah i think the same, the first GBA was more comfortable in the hands. It felt much better but as you said everyone even me changed to the SP just because of the backlight.I actually think the original GBA was nicer than the GBA SP. The original GBA felt like a quality piece of equipment, where as the SP felt junky and was all flash with no substance. But people bought into it because it had a backlight and 'looked cool'. At least it led to the development of the DS.

[QUOTE="Nophoria88"]The good thing about the DS was that it was protected when closed, now it actually damages itself. Please don't bother claiming it doesn't because I see it everyday, just like other people experiencing it.
The 3DS damages itself? How so? I ask because I bought one.
I agree with the battery life. I also think that a price drop will come earlier than expected. Remember, the N64 was announced at $250, but when it actually landed in stores it sold for $199, msrp---at least in the US.
He's talking about how the bottom screen scratches the top screen. The funny thing is I haven't got any of that and i've have my 3DS since launch. On top of that, its always closed. There are no games released that appeal to me so I just have it sitting around until some games come out, but I still have no scratches or even marks on the top. Evidently, its only the people with screen protectors who get that, which I don't have. Every millimeter counts and that could be the dividing measurement of the bottom and top screen. I thing people experiencing that are putting pressure on the 3DS, like putting them inside pockets without space.If there was any reason to ever upgrade then it would be for a 3DSXL version.gokuofheavenThat would be very, very ugly. It won't be portable anymore.
[QUOTE="soulreaper-4"]No offense but people are plain stupid! 3DSLite will not existe because that was the name of revision from an old portable that heavier than the customers liking. 3DSi the same, the i was given because they added the front camera and you could customized more the menus adding apps. The first DS had many problems, it was very big, ugly looking, very dark screens with almost no light, very heavy etc. The 3DS is the same size of the Lite, have bright and screens, two front cameras (more for gaming than pictures), a front interior camera etc. All in all the 3DS was well made, only the battery seems to bother some people and that can be updated in the future without the need of revisions. 5 straight hours is enough unless you are out of your mind and play lonyger without stopping. If you wait for a revision, you will end waiting for the next one and the next one.Nophoria88
Your calling people stupid because they're giving the next revision a codename by calling it a 3DSlite? Seems like your reading into things too much, they can call it whatever they want, it's a codename i.e. it doesn't matter.
Also being a portable device that runs three hours is not up to par. You bring it out with you, leave it in streetpass mode, play an hour here or there and it's dead. I don't want to hear 5 hours because no one plays with every setting turned off. How is it well made when I close my 3DS and it puts marks on my screen? The good thing about the DS was that it was protected when closed, now it actually damages itself. Please don't bother claiming it doesn't because I see it everyday, just like other people experiencing it.
Dude stop overreacting and telling things that aren't true. It is clearly you don't have a 3DS. I have one and the battery last like 5 hours, basically more than sufficient. It last less if you play will all the brightness on, safe mode off, 3D on, wireless on and if you are playing online. Oh and for the streetpass mode comment YOU ARE WRONG! Try before talking. Streetpass is design in a way that the system is almost turn off and use only a bit of of the charge. I bring it with me everyday to college in streetpass and after 4 or more hours the BATTERY IS STILL FULL. Not a single bar of the battery charge icon is down.The next kingdom hearts Metal Gear Solid 3 Next Mario Zelda Ocarina of Time Kid Icarus: Uprising Star Fox 64 Paper Mario Next unrevealed pokemon games Dead or Alive: Dimensions Resident Evil Mercenaries Resident Evil Revelations Plus many upcoming games.Hey everyone,
So, I recently purchased the 3DS, but I'm feeling a little buyers remorse after shelling out the 250 for it. I know it's stupid, but I always seem to get BR after a fairly major purchases (well, as a university student, it's pretty big). I was contemplating returning it and getting a DS, but then that might not be the best idea, considering it's not going to be the main focus for Nintendo in the future. I know it's ultimately my decision, but I was hoping for some words of encouragment about the system.
I've been playing some Face Raiders, which is pretty awesome, but I need some advice on games:
Name three DS games that I should definitely pick up. I love RPGs with good stories, and I enjoy platformers.
Name one 3DS game I should look into (or, conversely, suggest that I wait for newer titles; or maybe DS games are the way to go right now).
Thanks a bunch, guys and gals.

[QUOTE="Heirren"][QUOTE="NeoStar9"]The look of the 3DS isn't going to change.AutoPilotOn
I disagree. I expect a slightly altered look and price drop, around the time of the NGP. But I say go ahead and pick it up. The revision to the 3DS will likely only be a better battery life and a slightly slimmer top half(the 3D screen half).
The NGP will be out later this year. I HIGHLY doubt there will be new hardware in less than 1 year. A price drop, maybe or maybe just package a game with the 3ds for the same 250 price tag. If they lower the price it will be just like $50 and nothing more. Take a look at the DS Lite price: $129.99; and if you go today to a store to get one it will still cost $129.99 the same price after 4 or 5 years.
