Wait, so your games still work perfectly but because they've got light scratches on an area of the disk which holds absolutely no data, you're afraid to play the games? You must be the most protective person in the whole world, until something actually goes wrong don't panic.bobbetybob
When you have a collection of 88 games it isnormal tosearch info for something like this. It's not the same asa person who only have only3 games in it collection and maybe didn't pay 50 plus taxes for amost everyone.

dont worry about this, my mario galaxy and metroid prime 3 cds have perfect circles on them, it probably just the wii that does it like nintendo said. anyway cds will still work with harsh irregular scratches so i wouldnt worry about it at all. all cds tend to get some type of scratch in their life time, im really carefull with my cds, and the worst i have is those circles on those 2 disks, and my super paper mario disk has very minor scratches.

dont let this hold you back because it happens to all cds, if you stop playing games because of this, then you wont be able to play cd games again!!!

This still is confusing. Some a bunch of peole here have told me their games doesn't have what a i describe, two people here have this and Nintendo say as long as the games are playing and your wii is not doing a noticeable and perfectly circular scratch on games your Wii is okay. MY HEAD IS SPINNING OF CONFUTION AND DOUBT.

No its not hard to tell, maybe you cant see it, but plenty of people can. You also dont need a big TV, you can see the difference on something as little as 22", hence why monitors have been HD long before the majority even knew what HD stood for. If you going to come out with statements like these, at least research properly before spouting things that are not true.

shawty1984

Dude get serious. The difference is so small that many people won't even noticed, it isn't like jumping from SD to HD, I too was into HD with a PC monitor long before the HDTV propaganda began .A TV with better video proccessing and color gamut will always be better than a crappy 1080p with less color quality. I have seen people in store looking at those Samsung HDTVs and saying "WOW this TV looks amazing" because is 1080p. I even remember when i got my Sony Bravia and brought it back to the store to check something some clerks where asking me, Is that TV 1080p? I tell you this by my own experience. I don't blame people like you because you are the result of the famous number marketing from corporations.

Sigh, come back when you know what your talking about. There is a huge difference between 720p and 1080p and you can see it on small TV's. Ive been fed no marketing from coperations telling me this, its something that is 100% fact. Infact the jump from SD to HD 720p here in the UK (were SD is 576i) is near enough the same as 720p to 1080p. You need to go and educate yourself before you make yourself look a right fool.

Ah you are mad little kid? I didn't meant to make you mad kiddo. A person with the equipment and the experiencing of seeing in person like me doesn't need to go out and get educated by others. By the way why don't you visite CNET.COM and read the explanation of 720p vs 1080p? Don't tell me you know more than these people who try almost every TV in existence.

Its more expensive and time consuming to render games in 1080p. Some developers dont have the time/money, and some just are rushing the game production.budboarder

In addition to this the consoles do have limitationsso sometimesdevelopers would have to sacrifice framerate to get a better render resolution. So instead they put "supports 1080p" (note the use of theword support)on the back of the box, 90% of people don't know the difference so are happy, and the game performs better.

Personally I'm quite happy with upscaling as I'd be pressed to notice the difference if you had the two side by side (except FF13cutscenes which are 580 vs 1080 :)). I'd much prefer to have my game running at full screen rather than a small "boxed" version that is accurately rendered.

While we're talking about FF13, interestingly on the PS3 it also force upscales to 1080p. The only game I've played thus far that does that and made me freak out when I noticed it.

Don't get mad at me but you're wrong, FFXIII for PS3 is native 720p in game and it's native 1080p on the computer generated scenes.

Even when coparing real 720p vs 1080p side by side in person it is very difficult to see a difference, to see it you need a really big tv, need to be sit at a certain distance and even with that it isn't like changing from SD to HD.

I don't really understand people sometimes. Many people seems to be on a race trying to get everything with a higher number just becase companys say it is better. This is like those millions contrast ratio in TVs, that's a marketing lie, it was normal when they where in the tousands but now you even see TVs with those exagerated millions in contrast. With 720p and 1080p we have a similarsituation , many of the games that say 1080p are just upscale wich means not real 1080p. Even when coparing real 720p vs 1080p side by side in person it is very difficult to see a difference, to see it you need a really big tv, need to be sit at a certain distance and even with that it isn't like changing from SD to HD.

But people are people and always says that the higher nuber is the best thing. Color saturation and quality is always better than more resolution.:P

too bad you wont play many games with it, i bought the classic classic controllers but almost no games support it so theyre just collecting dust , never understood why classic controls arent a option on most games especially with bad motion controls or the ones where you play with the wiimote sideways (with the tiny d-pad and crappy 1 & 2 buttons)

AmnesiaHaze
Your classic's been collection dust because you don't get games that use it. Here are some games that use it : 1. Naruto fighting games 2. Guilty Gear games 3. Tatsunoko vs Capcom 4. Monster Hunter Tri 5. Muramasa 6. Punchout 7 Upcoming Sin and Punishment 2 Those are only some of the games that support the Classic and a lot of Virtual Console games requires it like Sin and Punishment and Super Mario World plus almost all them support the controller.
