[QUOTE="ironwarrior2"][QUOTE="SpruceCaboose"][QUOTE="ironwarrior2"]480p does not equal current gen. Xbox 1 had games in hd, why can't Wii handle it?hellzhitman
Generations (i.e. next gen, current gen, last gen) are not about capabilities, but are about the time in which they were launched.
The Saturn, PSOne, and N64 were the same gen. The Gamecube, Dreamcast, Xbox, and PS2 are the same gen. The Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3 are the same gen (currently the "current gen")
Ok, while the Wii is in the same gen as PS3 ans X360, it's not in the same league as them.
Well it depends really. The Wii has it's ups and downs but if a person is traveling a lot, being able to fit a Wii and all accessories/games in a dvd player case the size of sheet of paper and depth of 4 inches, thats something PS3 and 360 will not have( I don't rtavel a lot though, just an example )To throw it out there, my Wii (well, both of them really) have already been taken up and down the east coast. No problems, no damage.
Not to mention, in addition to KB + M, most of the best players use some kind of tracking mods (and not quite as good ones use control help mods). We still don't see that kinda thing on consoles, so its another reason that it would be gimped vs. PC.
Plus the whole Blizzard saying it would never go to consoles. There's an article about it somewhere.
Personally, it sounds like your going about it wrong mostly in the sence of horrible looking games on the Wii.
Madden is probally your best bet to test for a few reasons.
1) It showcases the superior graphics of the 360 and has a unique control scheme for the Wii
2) While everyone might not know how to play games, everyone knows at least something about football. So it'll make a good case study for a large group of gamers and non-gamers.
3) (Going along with #1) Its the only multiplat game that is TRULY designed to suit the strengths of each console, unlike COD3 or Splinter cell, which are closer to ports with tacked on controls.
So, all in all, you want Madden. Oh, and its graphics are crappy compared to 360, so that should be sufficient for you too.
Okay people say that games to movies do not work, and the are a flop, yes they are. But come on MGS games are nearly movies and they are great, so how can this be a flop?zsc4
Easy. Consider Resident Evil. We're talkin over four games of material, a lot of which could make an awsome movie...and how much did they use? Some names and loose associations? Same story for Silent Hill. Both had tons of usable material, some even that could be expanded, but no.
Did you look at the PC score of Halo?
GS score for Halo PC = 9.0.
So, that enough should be enough for thread failure. I mean, it ADDED online multiplayer, new maps, new weapons and generally better graphics...and it scored 'worse' than the xbox version.
This should at least show that the PC standards are higher.
What a horribly misguided assumption.
First off, mods DO give you bragging rights. I mean, which is more impressive; "I made a game on my own" or "I just gained 50 pounds living off the food I got with my avhievements"?
It's been cited, but look at half-life. It has countless mods and from those, quite a few that make awsome games. Counterstrike is one example, but what about the specialists? Cinematic, over the top gunbattles for free? Or natural selection? Aliens vs marines with all the player interaction you could want...free. Hell, I even played Sven co-op for quite a while, which was some parts of half-life but with huge online co-op play. And all of that was for the price of one very old game.
Your point fails.
