@Tribesmaster @stan_boyd @RicanV I wouldn't know, I didn't grow up with sonic, I was a nintendo kid, I recently played sonic on xbox 360 and didn't really care for it, probably because I didn't grow up with it.

@Tribesmaster @stan_boyd @RicanVif its just an exact remake then yes I don't think it should be reviewed. It already was reviewed before on an older system and was compared to games of its time. The people who enjoyed it then are the same people who are gonna enjoy it the most now. If I gave my son super mario 1 to play now he would call it crap because compared to games today it is.

@RicanV @stan_boyd exactly which is why it shouldn't even be reviewed, its a remake so only people who really are gonna love it are people who loved the original, otherwise its only a meh game with meh features.

I want to see someone who has never heard of duck tales or played the nes game play this game and tell me what they think. My bet is that they would say the game is easy, simple (only 2 buttons needed) and shallow, games are so much more complex these days. Games like this should not be reviewed, the only reason so many people are saying this game deserves high scores is because of nostalgia but if you have never played or even heard of duck tales before this game is nothing special at all compared to todays games. Hell if they made a remake of Skool Daze on Commadore 64 and left it with the same shitty graphics I would still love it cause of nostalgia, anyone not old enough to remember it would think its crap.

I say gamespot should just start doing what IGN does and give every game a 9 then they don't have to worry about angered fanboys.

@spanish911 @stan_boyd retro games fans are the fans of the originals, not new kids, new kids who play a game like this based on a two button controls scheme see it as simple boring and easy. this game is solely nostalgia, compared to a game like super meatboy and other modern platformers this game is crap.

@nigelholden @RicanV ummm no he is looking for progress, he says that nostalgia and all these remakes are ruining gaming not saving it and I kinda agree, I mean turtles in time just didn't do it for me even though I loved the original, earthworm jim remake was sorta fun I guess, except it was been there done that feeling, and this game just feels to simple probably because games have gotten more challenging over the years with more complex controls and now here comes a game based on 2 button controls.

@nigelholden @stan_boyd @komuchen @Polaris-dono oh I don't order stuff online, and I am sure kids don't go on amazon looking for chip and dale and duck tales. Hell I have never gone onto amazon to look for cartoons that I never heard of from the generation before me.
