@Ultra_Taco @stan_boyd @deathblow3 how come nobody complained about the lack of save anywhere option in Super Metroid or Castlevania Symphony of the Night?
@deathblow3 @stan_boyd save points are every 20-30 mins. Heck checkpoints are part of the reason why people complain about game lengths these days. Games have gotten so easy with such close save points that what used to take us hours to beat takes us mins to beat. Take battletoads for instance, it was only a 2-3 hour game, however because of its challenge it took people weeks or months to get good enough to beat it, now gamers are lazy and want to just breeze through everything.
@miser_cz @stan_boyd @Hurvl @MooncalfReviews ah ok, I thought you were saying that hurvl is right and indie games should be held to the same standards as AAA games where graphics and animation quality are rated.
@miser_cz @stan_boyd @Hurvl @MooncalfReviews so you mean to tell me that sites do not score on graphics and animation at all? so when they say the bad in a review and it says, bad graphics or clunky animations etc they aren't actually counting that.
@miser_cz @stan_boyd good bye, didn't enjoy talking to you anyways, you complain about user created content you complain about challenge of game and lack of saving whenever really you seem like you just hate the game so go play something that isn't gonna challenge you, I think wii-u has some sort of cute plant game.
@Caldrin @SKaREO i think he is another one of those people who thinks this is just a rpg and doesn't realize that this is less of a game and more of a tool to create your own games.
@miser_cz @stan_boyd alright I agree this game should allow you to save after every single bullet you fire so that if you miss or if you get shot you can just reload the game and not have to worry about using medkits or anything because we live in a generation where COD is the most challenge we will accept in a game.
@miser_cz @stan_boyd because then I would have to count on all the user created content also creating hardcore modes for their user created content, which probably would no happen as it would be more work and some people just wouldn't care about it.
@Hurvl @MooncalfReviews i disagree, with indie projects they don't have the budget and teams like AAA devs, you aren't going to get amazing graphics and animations or great symphony musical scores from a indie dev. If you compare a indie game to a AAA then its always gonna be a 5 or less just based off of technical things like graphics and sound.
@miser_cz @stan_boyd thats part of the problem with gaming today, all games are trying to cater to everyone which is making them crappier. If a game like Contra or Battletoads came out in todays market everyone would whine that its too hard, heck people still whine about the souls games being to difficult.
