Can you please just stop arguing. It's painfully obvious that you just do not appreciate the survival-horror genre. I would agree with your critisms if the game weere a 3rd preson action thriller game.. but its not. It's survival horror, sorry if you don't appreciate the genre, but don't come here and argue about how bad it is when all you want is an action game. And also, Dead Space is not survival horror.

Who says Dead space is not a survival horror game ? because of you're going take that away from the genre. the genre as a whole needs to die if games like RE2 and RE3 are the best it has to offer.

Like I said it's clear you don't appreciate the genre, but just stop arguing that it's bad. I don't like the Civ series but you don't see me trying to convince Civ fans that Civ is a bad game because it's not like Total War.

It is a fantastic game and in a few months it will be even better, once they patch it and what not. Also for people who claim the AI is passive, I just want to know if you have lost any of your battles in the current wars you are fighting. I'm not sure if the AI does this all the time, but once I lost a battles to the Mughals as the Maratha's and after that Mysore immediatly declared war. Since this was not exactly a good thing for my situation, I loaded up my last save and reinforced the town that I lost to Mysore and then won the battle with the Mughals, and to my surprise Mysore did not invade.

It's partially because of MMOs but it's also that online on the PC is much easier.. and it helps that it's free.

Another thing how can a site that gave NMH a 9, which while I loved, was broken and repetitive, turn around and give this well made and unique game that is full of variety a 7.5?

Empire Total War 8.5
Madworld 7.5

...Gamespot has gone terribly downhill.

ActicEdge

shouldn't we atleast read the review before we slam there credibility?

I read them. IMO Kevin is not a good reviewer, his scores do not match up with his written review. Honestly go read the written review for E:TW and ask yourself what score you would assume it would have just from reading it. An 8.5 would not match up.

Ever since that whole Kane and Lynch thing Gamespot has just gotten terrible.

Scrap the whole idea. I don't want to go back to Rapture, I've already seen Rapture. The great atmosphere of Rapture is what was so great about Bioshock, and is what made me forgive the standard gameplay. Take me back there again and I wont be so forgiving of the gameplay. The team should just focus on a new idea using the same engine.

Empire is the place to start. It may be the biggest, but it is much more streamlined than any of the others. The Road to Independence is also the best tutorial you could have in a game like this. Just know that there are still some bugs in it, it will be fixed though.
