In case you haven't noticed people have been saying "PC gaming is dead, dieing" or "Piracy is killing PC gaming" or something along those lines ever sense consoles came out. PC gaming is not going anywhere anytime soon.
[QUOTE="starwarsgeek112"]....so whats wrong here? afraid you've gotten to "used" to rapture? perhaps we haveI don't have high hopes for this game at all. The atmosphere is what was so great about the 1st one..

I mean that when Bioshock game out Rapture was new and original, and the dev team did a great job at creating an amazing atmosphere. It got to the point where I wished the Splicers would just leave me alone so I could look at the enviornment in peace. Don't get me wrong it was a fun game, but the gameplay was pretty standard. I just don't think it's smart for them to have us go back to Rapture, because it just wont be the same.
I know this isn't from the last 2 years, but Freedom Fighters is one of my favorite third person shooters.
That game was great, although like previously stated it was pretty much AOE2 with a Starwars skin. I'd say look for it on Ebay or something, and if you have no luck maybe try to find a torrent? (Sorry mods if I'm not allowed to suggest that on the forums.)

I feel like he underated it. From just reading the written review I would assume it'd be a 9/9.5 game. He goes on about how great the gameplay is and then has a paragraph or two about bugs. IMO the score does not match the written review.
Honestly, the only terrible bugs I've run across are pathfinding issues, which are not bad enough to bump it down .5 points. And seeing as it's a PC game with Steam support these will likely be fixed pretty quickly. I am also quite impressed with the AI, there are times when it actually cathes me off guard, granted there are also times when it acted like an idiot, but I'm not going to complain.
Hey all, I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing random stutters while looking over the campaign map in ETW. It's weird to think that I get better framerates during the battles than on the campaign map. Granted it's up in the 50-60s when I'm not scrolling through the map, but when I am it will randomly drop the the 20s every once and awhile. I have tried turning all my settings down to low and the resolution to 800x600 but this still occurs. So I'm beginning to wonder if it is an issue with the game rather than my computer..
My rig can run it just fine at everything set to high except units which are at ultra. Granted no AA or any of the special effects that you can click on or off.
These are my specs, which are no where near top of the line.
Intel Pentium D CPU 3.00 GHZ 3.00 GHZ
MTI HD R4670
2 GB of Ram
32 bit Windows Vista
The only real problems occur when I'm in huge battles, particularly naval battles. Although I haven't had much experience with naval battles yet since I'm playing as the Maratha Confederacy.
Also the only big issue with the game is unit pathfinding, especially during sieges. Right now it's pretty baaddd. I should also add that the campaign map stutters a little bit, not sure if this is because of my comp or not, but it is a little irritating.
However, it if far from unplayable. This game is something every strategy gamer needs in their library.
[QUOTE="MarioRPGer"]That wouldve made a whole lot more sense Yes, that way they could have had c-grade actors and low budget sets and effects. THat would have just been the bees knees.[QUOTE="sammyjenkis898"]
You're not the only one that thought that. I had been saying that for the longest time.

Uh.. the acting in the movie was terrible. It's like the actors couldn't even take their lines seriously, which gave the movie a campy feel. Awful really.
