When have the Oscars ever been for "bold, original, risky"? They only vote for the same ol' type of movies. The key being that they must have a political message that aligns with their ideology.
@phoenix1289: If you were right, then the industry wouldn't be over-flooded with "talent". Let the market decide. If pay drops, then people will go looking for a different job and those that remain will find more steady work. By overpaying, they attract too many people to the industry and less work, thus people need to be paid more per ob to make a living. The fact is, there are a ton of voice actors, very few are actually worth anything. We need to let the industry correct itself so that the ones with the actual talent can work. Over paying never solves anything always always leads to the crash of that industry.
@iandizion713: You must work for an honest livable wage. What you are advocating for is social welfare where some people must work for a living but if you don't want to, it's ok everyone else will do it for you.
I think i may decide to work 10hrs a week from now on. I'm gonna write my boss so that he can hire someone else to make up the difference. Good thing i will still be paid for my time spent at home.
