@psychomantis47: I'm super excited for this game too, but Team Ninjas director said the game is absolutely inspired by the souls games and Bloodborne. Nioh, in no way, predates the souls series, which goes back to the original PS, with Kings Field. Having said that, the other guy is a jerk, I guess.
Damn, this game. It keeps reminding me that it's going to be awesome. They even put it back up for this weekend, just to drive the point home. I'm all, "I got soo many games right now, I should wait". It's all, "No, you should die, a lot, and enjoy it". This game is a big jerk.
I was really expecting Microsoft's lap dog to say everything was a complete train wreck. One big crap fest after another. Of course he said it's going great, that's his job. I only care about the meat and potatoes. Next someone's going to tell me, dinner doesn't come with this thing. Yeah, ok, just a waffle maker? I don't think so.
@jschmidt32: That's the stupidest Shit I have ever heard. They are all stock holding corporations, meaning anyone, anywhere, can buy into the company and be part owner. So I should give all my money to a company just because it was started in the U.S.? I guess I'll buy a Visio TV. Oh wait, a Chinese company just bought majority share, so, uh. Ridiculous. Business isn't that black and white. It's a World economy now. Besides, a lot of people have jobs outside of Japan because of the PlayStation brand. Hell, the ps4 was designed and is still lead by Mark Cerny. An American. What!?!?!?
Just curious. How many people are truly going to use this as a portable system? It's bigger than the Vita, and I always had that in a case if I took it with me, plus all the extras kinda kill the portability as well. Remember, I'm speaking for myself, and asking for different perspectives. If it's not the size of my phone, in my pocket, it's not portable, in my opinion. For me, this is my Wii U, the sequel. I can play in bed, or on my TV. I have the "new" 3DS and Vita, but I usually play those in bed and very rarely take them out. I love the extra power of this device (as a portable), but I feel they are, again, alienating some of their biggest fans and newcomers by not releasing a more powerful console (as a home console). I'm just worried Nintendo is, again, going to be dumped by third party developers that do not want to make "Switch only" games. Nintendo NEEDS third party developers to keep this system going in between the big N exclusives. Not sure what's going to happen.
@guitarist1980: Yeah, the Scalebound cancellation cut me deep. I was really looking forward to that. Your right Xbox doesn't have much (that we know of) for exclusives this year, but there's some great third party stuff. I know it's tough for some people, but system prices are low now and I'd recommend having PlayStation and Xbox (maybe the Switch too). When Sony's low on games, Microsoft usually has something, and vise versa. I kinda think Microsoft is holding their cards close until E3. They'll probably show more exclusives and fancy extras for the Scorpio. We shall see.
Big deal, it's still a good system. Everyone has to defend their system of choice, but it's pointless. Both are great and have no shortage of games coming.
