@rufus_: Go back to those controls and see outdated they are. It also(along with Code Veronica) is in need of a graphical update. As those Gamecube era graphics don't age well next to the remakes and RE 5 & 6.
@Viral-venom13: I think they were testing the waters with that HD remaster of the original. But it didn't sell that well and that maybe indication to them that no one wants a new game.
@cboye18: Whose to say they don't remake CV next? They may want to get RE4 remade, as that was one of the more popular titles in the series(and also follows RE 2 & 3 in numbering). Also Re4 needed remade anyway with it's outdated controls(no run and gun, just stand and shoot).
@Atzenkiller: It's missing the entire Raccoon Park/Graveyard area of the game the original game had(meaning no worm boss). It also didn't include the "Zap system", which were choices that ended with the game having multiple endings. The remake only had one ending, which is missing Barry rescuing Jill in a helicopter.
@Barighm: Microsoft's games are not exactly bug free either. The Master Chief Collection was released in 2014 and they're still patching the bugs on that to this day. Which still has problems after the recent patch.
Anyone else find this oddly convenient that this is announced the day before Xbox Series S/X pre-orders go up? They know there's no must have or 1st party launch games and put this out early to hype people for pre-orders.
@fud_sang: Wouldn't surprise me if it's stuff like compilation titles like the Mega Man Legacy Collections. That's the type of games that usually had problems with previous system's BC due to running on emulation for the previous console.
