I found a generic one at ebay for 5 bucks. My next option is going to BestBuy. They have the official Sony ones and Rocketfish. Price for both is the same at $20. Too steep for me. Can't find anything in between. Im just worried the generic from ebay will be crap.

with hdmi, a lot says there's no difference between cheap and high-priced ones. but that's digital.

now, component is analog, i believe. so is the case the same or not? would the official sony serve me better or i can just get those cheap ones at ebay?

Based on what games you like, I would say you might enjoy ASSASSINS CREED and RESISTANCE 2. I haven't played GHOSTBUSTERS, but you also might find some enjoyment in that.

im a big basketball fan and was getting tired of the ps2 graphics for the nba2k series. so i finally bought a ps3 when nba2k8 came out. so my first game: NBA2K8.

My interpretation of this whole tv-channel-surfing thing at the start was that metal gear is like this epic blockbuster movie (yeah, even though it's a game. y'know what i mean) and this is like when you're chilling at home channel surfing. Then all of a sudden you find this channel that's about to play a movie, which is metal gear, and you decide to watch it.

hmmm. i actually enjoy cutscenes... ala mgs4 and uncharted.

the idea of the story just unfolding via audio while im still fighting/playing isn't very appealing.

I bought COD4 after it got so much exposure and won all those awards. I'm not big on shooters, but I went ahead anyways... "game of the year"... c'mon cant go wrong with that. That's what I thought.

I didnt open it until about 3 4 months after and when I did I only played thru that 1st chapter when I jumped on that heli while that ship was sinking. I didnt touch it again for months.

It's not a bad game. It's just not my type really. I like games that are driven with interesting stories. I didnt think COD4 focused much on a good story and its delivery.
