I believe that the problem has to do with the current system's obsession with standardized testing. Making sure that every single child in America is being taught the exact same general material for the exact same general subject tests, really ensures the worst possible education for everyone.

I believe that there needs to be more specialized education and trade schools preparing people for the real jobs that they are actually going to have.

I think the money would be better spent creating a business that employs a lot of people.

Looks a lot better than I was expecting.

The main issue I saw was that, while the graphics look good from a distance 3rd person persective, they look significantly worse than most FPSs when seen up-close.

Of the poll choices, my favorite to play is Basketball, and my favorite to watch is Baseball.

However, of all sports, my favorite to play is Rugby.

That chart is a little over-simplified, and in my opinion, the 1946 map creates bias on the rest of the maps. Palestine was a British territory until 1948, so it's not like the Israelis just took over another sovereign nation. The U.N. gave Israel the territories shown in the map entitled "UN Partition Plan 1947."

The real Palestinian land-loss at the hands of Israel is what is seen in the three right-hand maps from 1947 and on.

I used to be in the same situation years ago, and I got past it by being responsible and pleading my case over and over and over and over and over again. Seriously. Keep asking them, and they'll crack eventually.

Argh, that was just awkward when he said that. This was nothing more than a publicity stunt for the book they released. Looks like it worked too.PernicioEnigma

I would like to believe that it wasn't an intentional fabrication on the part of the parents. People believe what they want to believe, and they subconsciously twist the facts of reality to support their beliefs.

I can see how overzealous religious parents could accidentally encourage their highly suggestible child to remember things about the ordeal that support their own worldview. Remember that this was an extremely religious family that likely talked to their son about God and Jesus multiple times a day.

  • Parents: What did it feel like while you were in the hospital?
  • Child: I don't know. It was really bright.
  • Parents: Did you see Heaven?
  • Child: Yes, it was Heaven.
  • Parents: Really? Wow. Did you see Jesus?
  • Child: Maybe. I think so.
  • Parents: What did he look like?
  • Child: I don't remember.
  • (Parents show child bible picture of blonde-haired blue-eyed Jesus.)
  • Parents: He looked like this, didn't he?
  • Child: Yes.
  • Parents: Really? Wow that's amazing. I can't believe you saw Jesus. What did you talk about?

Let's see... 4-year-old, highly suggestible boy with extremely religious parents who want to believe in a Heaven...

...I'm certain the parents had no part in helping the kid "remember" the details of his trip to Heaven over the last 7 years.

I have a 1 bedroom apartment in Los Angeles, and I pay around $25/month for electricity during the winter and around $40/month during the summer. I don't know what the water and gas cost, as they are included in my rent.

It's fine as long as you're not the only one laughing.
