Hey guys, just wondering how the VC games are played when you purchase them from the store.

Are they downloaded to a HDD or whatever on the wii? How is it stored, and how do you access it? Ifs its put onto a flash card or whatever, are you able to bring it to friends houses and use it there?

Or are they only accessable on the net, meaning you have to log into your account and they will have access to the games your brought on the store?

Sorry but im still new with the wii product. Are there ways of storing stuff you get from the store onto a external HDD? or usb flash stick or whatever?

cheers guys

Ok, i'm not a "huge" HP fan - havnt read the books but the movies i have seen. I'm a MMO fan and have played many different MMOs in all different categories.

Now people have been saying you dont know where/when it would take place. Its a MMO- it evolves. Even if they start at the stage where HP was young EG: first movie, and gradually evolve the game into something bigger.

This will automatically open the door for the story to evolve aswell - look at LOTR MMO, that was a good book, movie. Ok the LOTR series are more aimed at a mature audiance, while HP is slowly leaning towards an all age audiance where anyone can watch. Now at the time the first couple movies came out i was 15 and the movies were abit well, childish. Now that im older and the movies are aswell, they appeal to me alot more.

Things abot MMOs not suitable for young kids, well look at WoW.The majority are young kids/adults ranging from 10-18. Now saying no mature players play (8million or so damn players so yeah).

Terms of gameplay for HP. Now you can change the "techniques"-"methods" abit while doing a MMO or a standard game. You don't have to JUST have players using wands and staffs ect. Have them using there mind and body (like a normal mage in wow eg.). Or have Energy (i dunno like dbz?), then more of a martial arts that uses magic to manipulate movement for close combat fighting.

You can in terms of the "world" you play make it huge. Ok you got hogwarts wat is the main gathering as we all know in the movies etc. How about other "dimensions" or "regions" where there are other schools/gatherings.

You can have many fun little games/professions in the game. EG: for games- you can have either maybe a PvP (i dunno how that will work) and or a quiddich match, that where you make a team/clan and compete against others.

Professions - same like you get in all games, where you can study/learn your professsions in school (thats the reason you go to school) and you can gradually gain knowledge on for example potions, then in order to obtain special knowledge known by the masters of alchemy ect you have to go on a quest far away or something.

For training, once again you might "start" "noobie area" at one of the schools where you might be there for the first 10 lvls? and then move onto a more advanced region ect (like you do in other mmos).

Ok this was just a little brainstorm and just like other games/movies/books - they all can somehow be made into a MMO - either mmofps, mmorts, mmorpg ect.

They all use the same concepts in design all up, and if done correctly by the developers, they got themselves a winner.

So my conclusion, Harry Potter as a MMORPG - IF done right, i think it would be a hit.

Regards, TJ

time travel would be a great game type.

Imagine you start out in the modern world (lets say 2007) you have access to some of the standard weapons with all use, now this can be turned into maybe a Action FPS or maybe something along the lines of RPG/FPS like Stalker.

You go through portals and have to do quests for others to alter history, for example lets say theres a gang and the leader dies in a accident or gets murdered, now for a quest event you have to travel back in time to prevent from that happening.

If the game was big enough and well done, imagine you having total control over events in time, you going back to the WWII stages and maybe helping the germans win the war? or help russia rise up, go back to the future and its a total different world run by different people and countries.

Ok, if time travel dosnt suit the your stuff have any of you seen the show "Sliders"? I was a huge fan when that was at its prime. You go through a portal to another universe, where its the same year/day, your the same person, but everything eles is different. You leave home, and you get a portal to another place for examplean alternate earth with dinosaurs that werent extinct?

Soo much potential in this type of thing, game designers can go syco with ideas and dont always have to follow the same path!

Anyway just something i wanted to get off my chest after reading the tread.

Hey guys, recently me and my mates decided to quit wow and go for something new. We have been searching on different mmo sites and there are quite a few, i read reviews and all that about them but still we havnt decided. I decided to come here for help because i know there are alot of friendly people here who can help =D

Anyway we were looking for something a tad different than your WoW game, i had a look at CoV, EvE and so forth but was wondering if there are any that are fairly decent that havnt been mentioned that much. We dont mind playing, and downloading the game so you can recommend free or p2p mmo's.

Thx in advance!

pokemon will only get better i reckon, while console gaming is getting better and more advanced, so will pokemon - i reckon it will be there forever, when someone grows out of it, some young kid has gotten into it. Its evolution in the game and gamers themselves.

All depends on what you enjoy playing. Me personally i rather sport/racing games on consoles while some good RPGs come out on the consoles aswell i enjoy playing aswell. For RTS, FPS and so forth, well face it you need a PC to play it, you can play them on console but they aint the best tbh. The only way PC will be replaced is with Virtual Reality! :D lol. Playing FPS games in your own FP form ina VR world, you just need your own reactions to turn and look and so forth, and or in RTS VR you use your hands to move all your troops and build bases.
