So as the title applies I don't know. What makes it a little more complicated is that when Fallout 3 came out last year I bought it I think in fact in the first week, however for some reason I just couldn't get into it. I think the main problem for me was that I played so much of Oblivion up to the release of Fallout that when I realised how they haven't fixed minor graphical problems with the engine, it just really put me off and I'm talking about little things such as stiff animation and the like. I know, pathetic but couldn't help it. However, I have a feeling that I could now get over these things andsee Fallout 3 for what it really is not to mention the amazing deal the GOTY edition is. So if someone could please advise me on whether I should get it and how the game itself is keeping up after a year its release.

Thanks

Oh yes White Knight Chronicles. I've seen a few footages of that game and I no a little about it but is it an online game or a single-player RPG? I'm just not clear about that :S It does look promising though. Even though the 360 is called the console for RPGs now (whatever) most if not all of the JRPGs on it are mediocre at best :(

Yes.Get a PS3.I will try to give some reasons why you should get one.I will try to be honest stating some of the good and bad.

First off the bad.

  • Since there was no price drop the PS3 is still 400 bucks
  • No B/C for the newer consoles.....Bad only if you still want to play PS2 titles and don't have a PS2
  • Only 2 USB slots
  • The menu interface is good for alot of people but could do better in my opinion.

Now the good.

  • A very sexxxy consoles
  • Blu-ray
  • It is not the best, but has a web browser
  • Great exclusives
  • Trophies----If your into it,alot of people get turned off because they think the PS3 does not have a good reward system like the 360,it does for alot of games now.
  • Game devs are FINALLY starting to use the full power of the PS3
  • Great PS store.
  • PS3 is not region locked-Which means you can import games from other regions and play them.

PS Store feature.

  • Free,yes FREE themes
  • Movies and TV shows like the 360
  • Demos of course
  • Add ons
  • PS3 has PSN cards like the 360.....If you can find theme.

Now some great PS3 exclusives

  • Metal Gear solid 4
  • Resistance
  • Resistance 2
  • Motorstorm
  • Motorstorm 2
  • Valkyria Chronicles
  • Killzone 2
  • Haze-I liked it
  • Folklore
  • Ninja Gaiden sigma
  • D3
  • Demon soul-Have to import
  • Uncharted
  • Heavenly sword
  • Socom Confrontation
  • GT5 P.
  • Ratchet and Clank Tools of destruction
  • Ratchet and Clank quest for booty-I went on this quest a few times
  • Warhawk
  • MLB The show 09.

I hope this helps you out alittle bit.The PS3 is a great console with great features and games.

Thanks for that yes you did help a lot. Especially about the exclusives as the PS3 seems to be having (as of right now) more and better exclusive titles than any other platform.

Hey as the title suggests I'll be getting some money soon for my birthday (yaaaaaaaay) and I was wondering if I should buy a PS 3. I've always sort of wanted a Playstation 3 but I have a 360 and most of the games that are on the PS 3 come out on the 360 as well. I was wondering if you could suggest what games the PS 3 is really worth getting for. Obviously I know of Killzone 2, Uncharted, LBP etc. but I was wondering if you could maybe suggest some hidden gems as well and also games that will be coming to the PS 3 later on.

There are many things that I could spend this money on and as we all know money is worth more than it should these days :( so if I do buy it I really wouldn't like to regret my purchase.

Thanks

The whole thing just sounds like they are taking the quality stuff out of the game and putting money maker stuff in instead, or ideas that right now just don't seem to make that much sense. I hope when they actually get to show the game it will make sense

I personally don't think the RE franchise will stay this way. As they said before they will have to re invent the series again with RE 6 and I think they will go back to the real survival-horror. They needed the more action oriented RE 5 to finish off the story with a big bang (or with many big bangs). But I am sure they will realise from reviews and from the gamers that while it was a brilliant action game, people were generally disappointed with how the they strayed too far from what defied a genre.

But to answer your question it is HOT

And that is:

Bioshock 2 to to feaure co-op and Soviets :(:(:(:(:(

Are you thinking right now: WTF??? Ok, good so I wasn't the only one who thought that. I mean Bioshock and co-op? How, why orwhen did that ever sound like a good idea? Thje whole immersion comes from you being on your own, being scared and sometimes psychologically freaked out. How the hell is that ever going to work with someone even if just an AI partner standing right next to you all thetime??? Need any proof to why it takes out the horror from a game? Look at RE 5, brilliant game but not scary at all because of co-op. Bioshoick simply does not mix with co-op. Also,I think co-op is becoming the new 'quick time events'. Yes, it works in some games like Halo 3 or Gears, but in a horror game that is meant to scare you? That is meant to make you feel like you are on your own? NO. but companies just seem tothink, as the RE producer said in an interview: Oh we put it in there to appeal more to Western gamers. I mean WTF?He just basically admitted that they only put co-op in the game to get more people to buy it!!! 'Yeah, we'll just tack it on there, yeah it will get us more money in the end.

Also, Soviets, are you again thinking WTF? Good you aren't alone again. I thought that. But wait for the best part. The report goes on to state: These enemies will be much smarter than the splicers and will make use of cover techniques and flanking. SO what? This is a World War II FPS now? A CoD knock off with some splicers in a different setting with a co-op partner?

I knew it was no good when Ken Levine said that he was not directly working on BioShock 2. Well as we can now tell it is and will be a massive shame. Here is the link have fun reading it. I am off to play the first one and imagine where the series could have headed instead:

I've completed the main story and it's one of the side-missions for the archeologist. I think the artifact I need to find is in Oakfield because that's where my dog leads me, but when we get to the point where I think the dog should start digging, he just keeps running and turning around without moving his legs. It is even more annoying as the dog now had become useless as he always ha sthe quest sign above his head even if I pick another mission and he just keeps barking because he wants me to follow him. He will now no longer find random dig-spots or any other collectibles, until I finish that archeologist misision but I obviously can't now. I'm actually really sad because I chose to save the dog and my family but now there's no point having the dog and I thought I was going to be one of the people to not find one of the 'many glitches' in this game.
