Nintendo could charge full price longer. Like Blizzard does.

Hardware ties up capital that could be used to run more software studios profitably. I expect them to suffer a loss because of hardware soon with the wii U

Plus, we saw the the 360 and PS3 how badly the big two lost money on them. Nintendo should have taken the opportunity to piggyback off of their investment.

[QUOTE="Elann2008"]I'll pick it up when it's $20. I only play SC for the campaign.ChubbyGuy40

That's what I'm doing. Wasn't going to get the CE anyway so I can wait. Although if I did want a CE, my local Frys always has spare CEs for Blizzard games and will sell them half off if they stay long enough.

The thing is that Blizz games don't go down in price or go on sale. Like 5 years after Warcraft 3's release, it and the xpack were still selling for like $40.

I agree with the OP. I enjoyed Sunshine more.

Then again, I started with teh gamecube, not the N64.

I liked sunshine more than galaxies.

Also liked windwaker more than ocarina

You know what I realize? Everyone wants to play Nintendo games but not on Nintendo systems.Shottayouth13-

Do you know what would pop sales?

Say that with every new purchase of a console, you get unlimited access to everything nintendo made 16 bit down.

It would be cheap and get lots of sales of it.

I disagree. You may not have enjoyed the Wii but the console sold an incredible amount of systems, more than the 360 and the PS3.

And not talking about sales, we wouldn't have gotten an experience like Skyward Sword or other games. The latest Zelda title wasn't my favorite Zelda game by any stretch of the imagination but it was unique in its gameplay, something that we couldn't have had on other systems at this time.

Zassimick

Skyward sword could have been done better with the PS Move.

I'm not kidding. Especially the latest PS move with the dual lens and 60 FPS (old one was 30 FPS)

I know what you're trying to say, that they should give up hardware. They are already a software company, and a hardware company.

Who makes the world most popular handheld gaming systems?

psymon100

Apple.

It would make sense for them to quit the home console biz the most. It does make some sense to stay in the portable biz though.

What's keeping them from doing this? It's so obvious.

Nintendo being nintendo, they could probably even negotiate like a preferred royalty rate from Sony, MS, and Apple.

It is crazy overpriced though, I definitely agree. Like, I'll bet the main expense is really in creating the custom PSU and motherboard for it. But let's say that you have a budget of like $100 for PSU+ case, and then another $100 for the MB.

SSD is $100

RAM is $50

CPU is $100 (bulk order)

That should be $450.
