Do you have any audio outputs? If not perhaps something to split the audio and video again at the other end? Maybe something like http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/HDMI-DUAL-AUDIO-VIDEO-SPLITTER-CABLE-ADAPTER-HDTV-TV-LC_W0QQitemZ300291822815QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item300291822815&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 but don't quote me on whether it will work with your particular set up, just throwing ideas out there.

Unless you go out and buy a plasma or a Kuro TV most of them aren't going to look a whole lot different from a sensible viewing distance. Generally the higher the better as long as you aren't comparing apples to oranges i.e. fixed and dynamic contrast ratio. Things like inputs and viewing angles will affect you much more in day-to-day viewing.

Do you have anything else you could put through the HDMI cable to test both the cable and input? Have you tried a different cable or HDMI port?

Well once again that is dynamic contrast ratio which is a nebulous concept at best, usually designed to baffle people into buying it through having bigger numbers than competitors. Though that TV does have a pretty good spec for the price.

A lot of it is down to personal preference but you can't really go wrong with a gaming mouse like the Razer Lachesis.

Product not found. It being 3 years old and that probably being a new processor I would imagine either the socket will be different or the board will not support it.

Budget $150 at least for a card that's worth buying for playing newer games.

As Gamer-Dave said Tier 1 TVs are usually preferable over Tier 2 or 3 simply because they can control quality at every stage of development. Be aware though that most people cite warranty differences as the deciding factor between tiers and your contract of sale is with the retailer and not the manufacturer so any returns should theoretically go to them.

Brand names don't come into play at all, just like everything else in life. A Hanspree TV could be using the same panel as a more expensive brand name TV, all you're paying the extra for is the priviledge of owning something made by that particular brand itself. You can't even guarantee that they measure specs the same way inside their own range. Most TV panels are manufactured by a very few different manufacturers in the far east. Technically they both have their strengths and weaknesses but the best way to tell the difference would be to see if you can go and look at the picture in real life. I would surmise that you would be happy with either one of them.
