Well XP looks like it was drawn by a child with too many coloured pencils to hand. Vista was and still is a great leap forward over XP in terms of useability and features. Windows 7 kicks the crap out of both XP and Vista even though it is still in beta and those looking forward to using that 7 year old printer will be shocked to learn that it probably won't have proper drivers in Windows 7 either unless they weave some magic into their compatibility settings. Please let XP die. The only reason it seems easier is because you are used to using it and have heard bad things about Vista.

Unlike Windows, I found Macs very difficult to use if everything didn't work fine all by itself. If anything went wrong I found it hard to find settings to troubleshoot things. Granted the last time I touched a Mac was a couple of years ago but judging by the direction they have picked with iTunes I can't imagine it being much different. What is it you want to do with this system of yours anyways?

Most of the time GPUs are directly soldered to the motherboard and it's probably the same for yours. Laptop GPUs are also very expensive and difficult to come by. Most desktop machines have trouble running the latest games smoothly at any decent level of detail so you will have a hard time with a laptop. There were rumours of an external graphics card solution for laptops but I'm not sure if it ever came out, have a Google search for it if you think you might be interested.

The download has currently been removed, probably because of the ridiculously high server load.

Looks like they may have taken the link offline for a while as I can no longer access it. I either get a connection interrupted message or a Microsoft "page not found" page.

The registration for the keys is open but you will have great difficulty getting through. Not all things will work in the Windows 7 beta due to various undiscovered bugs etc. Also depending on your firewall and AV combo you may find that they do not work, or produce undesired consequences.

I doubt it but you could try. I wouldn't advise upgrading your main comp from Vista eiter as not everything will work.

Yes you can select the Op Sys you want to boot, it's all done automatically and you will be presented to you upon boot. Good luck getting the download, the servers have melted a bit.

You can use 32 on 64 just fine but not the other way around. 64 bit Windows includes numerous enhancements over 32 bit Windows, mainly related to the amount of RAM and other resources that the system can address. 64 bit drivers aren't always readily available and not a lot of software takes advantage of it either but it is generally thought to be more stable.
