From the interview...they're using that space for "hours and hours of cinematics" and lots of uncompressed sound. Neither are essential to gameplayCodeMunki
Im betting theyd argue otherwise, or else it wouldnt be there.
[QUOTE="CodeMunki"] BTW, anybody notice how similar MGS4's gameplay looks to Splinter Cell now? BTW, anybody notice how similar Splinter Cells gameplay look to MGS now?
Westinghouse is about the worst brand you could ever buy, theyve known issues with the PS3 and whats worse their quality is aweful, if you're going to buy something to use with the PS3, buy a TV.
Im well aware how AA works, perhaps you should take a look yourself. By using a separate pool of highspeed memory the AA can be offloaded from video ram saving space for textures and geometry data as well as providing additional speed, especially if the memory is embedded. When combined with the scaling process it provides a smoother image with minimal loss to the usual performance.
Aren't you the same person who believes the 360 has AA "built-in"?The_Rick_14
believes, it does. Its part of the spec MS layed down to ATI. Its also part of the DX10.1 specs. They cant always use it as some engines dont run properly with it or the base res is to high but it does indeed.
