Book3: Chapter11: Rocks, Boulders, Fire, and Lightning

Disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

They let Noku finish his meal and exited the room after a quick 2 minutes. Sokka and Ito were supporting Noku by carrying one arm each around their necks. Noku was still bleeding a bit and was hurt bad, really bad.

“No Katara, you’ll need the water to fight us out of here,” said Noku.

“But we might not see anyone at all!” replied Katara.

“I’m sorry but you need your water. You can heal me after we get the hell out of this prison.”

They walked down the forever-like hall, letting Ty Lee in the front, still not being trusted. She didn’t seem to mind at all, still smiling (probably the fact because that she was near Sokka). They got to the end of the hall where the cells were still open from Ito. They saw it deserted and heard a fight going on nearby. Even once Toph had to rise a stalagmite suddenly as a boulder came crashing into it from the other side of the metal wall (yes, it was that strong).

“The fight might lead back here, let’s hurry!” said Aang.

They moved faster and more swiftly. They were now where they started from after a few minutes of walking fast, with the wide room and the 2 Firebenders still locked up in the storage room. Noku looked back with the corner of his eye while still being supported by Ito and Sokka and smiled a tiny bit.

“At least you remembered where to go,” said Noku slowly.

“It’s a simple prison really,” started Sokka.

“No, I was talking to Azula and dagger-girl behind us.”

They quickly turned around to find Azula and Mai right there. Mai had her hand in her robe, obviously holding at least 5 daggers. Azula looked she was about to strike blue fire at them, judging by her stance.

“Can you ever keep your pathetic mouth shut?!” yelled Azula.

“What did that demon say?” asked Noku to Ito.

Azula growled like a tiger and shot blue fire at the trio. Ito let go of Noku and tried to slash the fire, but it knocked him down with great force.

“Let’s get outside!” yelled Suki.

Ito got back up and they ran to the exit. Right when Ito shut the door, he heard as if daggers just hit the door.

“BACK AWAY!!” yelled Noku.

Ito jumped out of the way as the door blasted opened by Azula’s lightning. The prison riot continued inside the prison so it was just the GAang VS Azula and Mai. Azula looked at Ty Lee, who wasn’t attacking them and gave her a mean look.

“What are you doing?! Attack them!” ordered Azula.

“Sorry Azula, but you’re just too mean,” replied Ty Lee.

“TRAITOR!!”

“This’ll be quick and boring,” said Mai.

She hurled darts at Sokka and Suki as they easily deflected them with their club and katana sword. Ito got up and tried to flank Azula, but she just kicked his sword out of his hands and kicked fire again to nail him in the face. He went flying and fell down, unconscious with his sword several feet away on the ground. Sokka and Suki were fighting Mai while Aang, Katara, and Ty Lee were still with the injured Noku. Toph was looking enraged at Azula and took her praying-mantis stance.

“You get Noku and Ito out of here, I’ll deal with Princess here,” said Toph.

Ty Lee jumped to Ito’s body, picked him up, and ran with the others back to a safe distance. It was the Blind Bandit of the Earth Kingdom against The Princess of the Fire Nation.

“You’re going to pay for hurting Noku,” said Toph.

“Sorry to hurt your boyfriend. May I suggest someone, you know, who’ll live?” replied Azula.

Toph just stomped on the ground to make an earthquake. It made the other 3 fighting lose their balance, but Azula barely kept her ground. Toph then summoned 2 boulders from the ground and hurled them at her. She kicked the 1st 1 in half and punched the other one away and then kicked more fire at the Earthbender. Toph summoned more boulders to block the blast. She then sent the rocks flying to the Princess. Azula blasted the rocks away with blue fire from her fingertips and was preparing to fire lightning at Toph.

‘I know this trick’ thought Toph.

She just kicked the ground as a rock flew at Azula’s foot and caused her to lose her lightning as she lost balance.

“You little peasant!” roared Azula.

Part 2

Azula jabbed for fire at the Blind Bandit, but Toph countered by raising a whole wall around the 2 fighters and raising a stalagmite at the same time to block the blast. Toph glared at her enemy with her white-blind eyes. She was feeling anger rush through her body like wildfire.

‘This is what Noku must’ve felt like in Nanjing. I’m ready to avenge him!’ thought Toph.

She punched the air to cause all kinds of rocks hurling at Azula from the ground. Azula was using her quick reflexes to dodge or destroy the rocks. She finally got rid of the last hurling rock and kicked fire at Toph. She raised another wall in front of her to block it. She then made a giant labyrinth in between the 2.

“You can’t see me, but I see you!” yelled Toph, over the wall.

“Nice try blind girl,” replied Azula.

She shot lightning through the whole wall in front of her to make 1 long path ahead. She entered it, looking through all entrances along the way. Every now and then she would have to block a boulder coming at her from the ground randomly. She was starting to sweat, wondering where the Blind Bandit was at. She then saw all the walls lower and found herself hit by a large rock from behind. She got up quickly and did a low-kick at Toph. She jumped up high, with a boost from the earth, and landed hard. When she landed, she sent another barrage of rocks coming from the ground at her. These were stalagmites that were sharp and were closing in on the Princess. She started to get hit by them, getting weaker and weaker, but when the stalagmites hit her, they only hit her armor and she suffered only light injuries.

“Let’s see how well you fight under cover!” yelled Toph.

She made a humongous dust cloud around them. Azula now was furious. She just kicked and punched fire in all directions, not hearing anyone scream or beg for mercy. She shot out lightning straight ahead of her again to clear the dust. But when she did, her feet were connected to the ground and she couldn’t move them. She started to sink lower and lower into the ground. She fired fire at the earth to break herself free.

“WHERE ARE YOU!!” yelled Azula.

“Closer than you think,” replied the Blind Bandit.

Azula turned to see Toph upper-cutting her in the gut. Toph also kicked at her as hard as she can. Azula was barely dodging the kicks and managed to get fire coming from her feet again. Azula kicked at Toph, finally hitting her. The Blind Bandit held her ground and rubbed off the pain. She surrounded herself in rock armor and charged at Azula. Azula fired fire right into the heart of the armor before she could get to her. The armor broke and the Blind Bandit went flying. She fell down hard and slowly got up.

“Give it up, you’re too weak,” mocked Azula, grinning.

“I’m…not done yet,” slowly replied Toph.

She started to do weaker moves as she just hit and punched more boulders at her. She even managed to try and crush Azula with the wall surrounding them, but Azula jumped over it with her jet-like fire. Toph fell to her knees from exhaustion, but still was awake.

‘I can’t give up!’ thought Toph.

“It’s all over,” said Azula evilly.

She was starting to make the biggest amount of lightning she had to fire at Toph. The Earthbender suddenly found herself too exhausted to get up or even attack. She had used ferocious amounts of energy without realizing it. Azula then pointed her fingers to the down bender and the force of 5 lightning blasts flew from her fingertips.

‘It’s over’

But when the bolt was in between them after a millisecond, another bolt of lightning came and touched the other, causing it to stop and explode. The explosion was so large, both Azula and Toph were flown back 10 feet at least. Toph was stopped by the metal wall of the prison while Azula landed hard on the ground.

“WHAT THE---?!” yelled Azula.

Noku had entered the battle, still looking injured and looking a bit like a puppet as he struggled to maintain his balance. He was in front of the down Earthbender and was staring right into the opposing Firebender’s eyes.

“Stay away from her,” said Noku, deeply, having smoke coming from his nostrils, ears, and eyes as it looked his eyes were melting from it.

“Stay out of this traitor. Your girlfriend is about to perish,” replied Azula.

STAY AWAY!!!” yelled Noku.

He surrounded himself in the electric/fire armor again, but now had lightning coming from his eyes instead of fire. He now seemed the spirit of lighting as he lowered to the ground, looking darker than ever as the lightning around him grew bigger and stronger.

“You will now suffer Azula,” said Noku in the voice of the male version of the Guider of the Darkness.

Wow, SOOO Many Events!

Did you hear the news about Youtube? Over 100,000 videos are being taken down due to the copyright crap again. The only vids that are being taken down are the ones related to MTV, Paramount, some other company, and of course, Nickelodeon. About 1/3 of my favorite Avatar vids are being taken down! Geez, even some of the funniest Avatar vids are being turned down.

Also, The "Escape From The Spirit World" marathon starts today and is currently on right now! So far, the clue is _ a t h i _. I'm pretty d@mn sure it's Pathic, but I'm still watching to be sure.

And, uhh...that's it! Thanks for reading the events that are going on that I'm concerned about!

Book3: Chapter10: The Rescue Team

Disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last...uhh...oh yeah...Airbender"

Morning arrived as the new Council of the Army of Freedom (The Earth King, General Fong, King Bumi, Hakoda, and the Resistance Leader: Captain Yung) was discussing what to do.

“We’re supposed to be invading that fort right about now,” said Yung.

“But we must listen to Aang’s advice and not attack it!” replied Bumi.

“Don’t let your friendship with the Avatar get in the way,” said Fong.

The GAang just listened to them argue that kept going in circles. Toph was still looking like yesterday night and was kicking the ground over and over. Aang and Katara were seeing if they could help any wounded in a nearby medic tent. Sokka and Suki were chatting what they’ve been doing when they were apart. Ito was checking out the weapons and swords of the Freedom Fighters (really amazed with Jet’s hooked swords).

‘He needs me, I have to do something!’ thought Toph, over and over again.

She finally stopped kicking the ground, grabbed her supply bag, and marched to the fort, secretly.

Aang and Katara came out of the medic hut to find the rest of the GAang.

“Uh…where’s Toph?” asked Aang to Ito.

“Thought she was with Sokka,” replied Ito, holding both of Jet’s swords.

They went to Sokka and Suki to not find Toph anywhere.

“Sokka, Suki, where’s Toph?” asked Katara, starting to get worried.

“Thought she was with you guys,” replied Sokka.

“She probably went looking for Noku,” said Suki, worried.

“If we can hurry we can help her!” said Aang.

“Help? Don’t you mean catch her?” asked Sokka, now at full attention.

“We need to rescue him. He’s my firebending teacher and he’s part of our group. We have to,” explained Aang.

“He’s my long-lost friend, so count me in!” said Ito, sticking a hand out in the middle of them.

No one else said anything, they just looked at Ito.

“What? I thought we going to do that thing where…oh forget it.”

They went off climbing the cliff to the far side of the fort.

“How do you know Toph is over here?” asked Suki, reaching the top.

“We came here last time, so she might come here,” replied Katara.

“What took you so long?” asked Toph in front of them.

They saw Toph standing there with her bag on the ground. It looked like she was waiting for a while for them.

“We had to figure out where you were at first!” replied Ito, just getting to the top.

“Whatever. I found out that this place has a whole other level to it. It’s below and made of steel. But the steel has a lot of earth in it so I was able to sense it, guess lazy workers,” said Toph, pointing at the fort from where they were at.

“Let’s go then! Noku is sure to be in that place. I’m sure it’s a prison hold,” said Sokka, grabbing his boomerang.

“Onward then,” said Ito, also wielding his sword now.

They slowly walked to the fort, which was now guarded heavily by Firebenders and archers from the top of a couple of outposts. Aang and Katara snuck onto the 2 outposts in front and threw over the guards on top. Toph and Ito buried them into the ground when they hit the floor, making them much more silent. They continued to the fort and were now at the same door as they were yesterday.

“It’s still buried, let’s use the other door,” said Toph, pointing to a door very far from them, but still along the wall.

They ran to the next door and broke it down. They entered it to see 2 Firebenders waiting for them.

“Sound the alarm!!” yelled one of them.

Aang just blew air at them before the other one could reach for his alarm horn. They made sure they were unconscious and locked them in an empty store room. They followed Toph to a door that led to the lower level of the fort. They entered it to see that the lower level was 3 times larger than the fort from the outside, making it humongous.

“Do we have to check every door?” asked Sokka, looking bored.

“I don’t feel anyone in the rooms. But I feel some people in a larger room,” said Toph.

“It’s probably Azula and the other 2 with some guards,” replied Katara.

Sokka and Ito sighed as they started to open the smaller rooms as quietly as they can to find the Outcast.

After an hour or so, luck wasn’t on their side as every prison cell they checked so far didn’t contain the Outcast.

“He’s in none I checked,” whispered Ito.

“There are still many rooms to check, just keep looking!” replied Toph, looking impatient.

“I found a hairy smelly guy back there, hope I don’t find another one,” said Aang to himself.

They went to the 2nd part of the compound to see more heavily fortified rooms. They also saw some guards walking past the cells. They saw, and felt, some prisoners this time, yelling and taunting the guards to fight them. Some even threw some things nasty at the guards, but they continued to walk by. The GAang hid behind a wall as a guard came by. Suki hit him in the back of the head, making him unconscious. Sokka tied up the guard and tossed him where they at hiding behind. They started to attack guards one at a time, making them all unconscious or worse. Some prisoners cheered for them as they took out the last guard.

“Those prisoners will ruin our cover,” whispered Katara.

“Let’s give the other guards some work to do,” replied Ito, as he kept staring at a lever that showed a picture of a cell door opening.

He pulled the lever quickly as all the cell doors of the area opened. Some screamed as they ran out and others just walked slowly and quietly.

“We should keep moving while looking for Noku,” suggested Aang.

They agreed and tried a new area. This area was cramped and had doors that were made of thick metal with no windows or cracks. The hall was lit by only a few torches.

“No one is in here,” said Toph.

Sokka didn’t listen as he opened the door next to them to find a skeleton hanging from his hands.

“They’re hanging from the ceiling. We’ll have to check these as well,” said Suki, looking frightened at the skeleton.

As they looked for them, Aang started to feel like something awful would happen.

“Aang is everything all right?” asked Katara.

“I just can’t help feeling that something might happen shocking,” replied Aang.

“Like what?”

They then all saw Ty Lee, with a tray of small food in her hand, at the entrance.

“Please, don’t bother, I know you’re looking for that guy,” said Ty Lee.

They got into their fighting positions and just looked at her.

“I can show you where he’s at,” said Ty Lee.

“We’re keeping our eyes on you,” said Sokka.

“Thanks!”

She started to walk down the long hall, still holding the tray of food.

“Please don’t think of me as a bad guy. I’m just in a difficult position right now,” said Ty Lee, as the entire GAang followed, cautiously.

“Your Fire Nation and attacked the protectors of good, of course you’re a bad guy!” replied Ito.

“No, it’s just that I have no choice. If I don’t listen, Azula will just zap me and torture me. I actually just want peace. That’s why I joined the circus before I met her again,” explained Ty Lee.

“Makes some since,” replied Aang, holding his staff still.

“It’s also that I love my nation. It’s really hard to turn against it. Guess you can call me patriotic in a way,” said Ty Lee.

“Well, Noku did, so you can too,” said Suki, wielding her fan and shield.

“Yeah, I guess. Will you guys let me join your group?” asked Ty Lee suddenly.

The GAang stopped and looked really confused.

“I’ll stay out of the way. If it makes you feel better, I’ll clean any dirty laundry from you guys.”

“Sounds good to me,” said Ito, sniffing his own shirt.

Aang paused for a moment and nodded at Ty Lee, who was looking at them.

“We need all the help we can get. And Katara, sorry, but she’s trustable,” said Aang.

“But look at her! She’s just…creepy,” said Katara.

Ty Lee just laughed a bit and continued to walk down the hall.

“This is it!” said Ty Lee.

She opened the door to reveal a terrible-looking, injured person. Ty Lee put the tray down and unlocked the chains. The person fell to the floor and slowly looked up. It was who they were looking for.

“NOKU!!” yelled everyone.

They rushed to hug him, but he just simply laughed weakly.

“That hurts…”said Noku, sounding a bit deeper.

They looked at him more closely to see him injured all over his body.

“Azula really likes to torture. That’s why I’m afraid of her,” said Ty Lee, bringing the tray of food to him.

“Glad to have you back Noku,” said Toph, kissing him on the cheek.

“Thanks…Thanks, everyone,” said Noku, starting to eat like a pig at the food.

No one bothered to say that their wasn’t enough time or anything as they knew the Outcast must be starving and needs the energy from the food due to his revealing injuries and wounds all over his body.

Oh man, I REALLY tried to add more action to it, but it would mess up my next chapter a bit more. Oh well...tomorrow, someone will unleash a can of whup @$$ on someone in the next chapter...MWAHAHAHA!!!

Book3: Chapter9: Interrogation Inside the Fort

Boy, when I wrote this I wouldn't think it would be this violent and cursing. Okay, well, I'll let you know I'll rate this chapter "MA" for 'Mature Adiences' due to violence and language. The language will not be any worse than the stuff you hear on "Family Guy" and nothing had to be censored, but I'm playing safe so you have been warned...

Disclaimer: I DO.....NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

Noku had just regained consciousness a few minutes ago and looked around where he was at. He saw himself hanging by the hands from metal chains that was connected to the ceiling. His feet were also chained together by metal. He felt so weak and defenseless. He also found himself in a pure-steel room, lighted by only 1 torch and with one door with no windows. He felt like sleeping more, but he just couldn’t as his body was all messed up from Ty Lee’s jabbing all over his body while he was still unconscious. He tried to struggle, but his arms and legs were useless from her abilities.

‘I did the best I could. I saved the group and got them out of here. I’m here now so I need to find a way to get the hell out of here’ thought Noku to himself. ‘And, if I can……kick Azula’s ass.’

He saw the door open to see the trio of girls again. They all entered the room and shut the door behind them. Ty Lee, again, went behind Noku and jabbed at his weak points in the back to make sure he was defenseless. He now felt weaker then after he fought in Nanjing and after him and Toph…

“So, you’re the ‘Outcast’ they say? You’re wanted almost as much as the Avatar,” said Azula. “150,000 gold coins behind, not too bad.”

“I don’t speak to demons like you,” said Noku, weakly. “Go jump into a volcano.”

Azula just kneed him in the gut and continued speaking. Noku, not expecting that, started to cough a tiny bit as he tried to hear what Azula was saying.

“How long have you been with the Avatar?” asked Azula.

“I already said that I don’t speak to demons like asses like you,” replied Noku.

Azula, again, kneed him in the stomach. Noku felt like sleeping more now, wishing to wake up later somewhere else as his coughing came louder.

“This is so boring,” said Mai, sitting on the metal floor.

“Maybe some kindness will let him speak,” suggested Ty Lee. “Force doesn’t always work.”

She walked up to him and gave him a sweet look in his half-closed eyes. He was shocked as the person that jabbed him countless times in the back wasn’t the one punching and interrogating him.

“Can you please answer Azula’s questions?” asked Ty Lee, giving a smile.

“Nice try, but you are associated with that demon,” replied Noku. “And may I ask how you met such a brat like her?”

“Oh well, I tried,” said Ty Lee, ignoring his last question.

Azula then punched Noku in the face hard, making his mouth bloody.

“Geez, you fight like a man. Are you a girl, or a boy pretending to be a girl?” asked Noku slowly.

Azula punched him again, having smoke coming from her nostrils. She heard Ty Lee giggling a bit from behind.

“What? I get it,” said Ty Lee.

“If you don’t answer our questions, you’ll be looking like my brother 3 years ago,” said Azula, having blue flares coming from her two fingertips that was in front of his face.

“Who’s your brother?” asked Noku, trying to get his feet in a more comfortable position and trying to recover from her punches and blows.

“Wouldn’t you like to know?”

“Yes, I actually would.”

“Can we please leave? I’m more bored than when I was at Omashu,” asked Mai, twirling a dagger she had. “I mean, New Ozai.”

“After smart-mouth here answers what I want to know!” replied Azula.

“Yeah, miss daddy-girl here wants a hug,” said Noku, grinning with his bloody mouth.

Azula was so furious now that the room was covered in smoke as it continued to come from her nostrils like a true beast. Ty Lee and Mai started to choke a bit from it.

“Well, isn’t it true that you’re the Princess of the Fire Nation? I heard you liked your daddy to tuck you in bed with a big ostrich-pony next to you as well as an elder singing you a bedtime story,” said Noku.

Azula started to kick and punch Noku all over his body so much now, that it seemed Noku was a person who barely survived an entire war; with all the cuts, bruises, blood, 2 black-eyes, and scars. Blood was dripping from his nose and onto the floor.

“Now you kind of look like my brother then. Now all you need is a big burn scar across your face!” yelled Azula, now looking like a true demon.

“What’s…your damn question?” asked Noku slowly, trying to shake off his beatings and ignoring the blood dripping from his nose and now the mouth.

“Where is the next place the Army of Freedom, so-called, is going to attack?” asked Azula, arms crossed and still looking angrier than a platypus-bear.

“To tell the truth…..I have no idea now. We were going to attack this place, but since you party-poopers showed up, I told them to not to attack this place,” answered Noku.

“We’re not party-poopers!” yelled Ty Lee.

“You know where the next attack is, TELL ME!!” yelled Azula, now one inch from Noku’s face.

He could feel the heat coming from Azula; her royal and deadly eyes staring right into his eyes. He could tell that she could do anything to him since she was already torturing a 13-year old.

“Sorry…but I don’t know,” replied Noku, looking real honest behind his black-eyes.

“He’s telling the truth, I can tell by his voice,” said Mai, still twirling her dagger.

Azula walked over to Mai and grabbed her dagger that she was twirling. She stuck it into Noku’s arm as he yelled in pain. The other 2 looked a bit disgusted as Azula tried to get the dagger as deep as she can get the dagger into his right arm.

“Tell me before this goes any deeper!” demanded Azula, holding the dagger that was in him.

“I…I…told you…I don’t…know,” said a very weak Noku, groaning in pain in between every word he said.

Azula pulled the dagger out, backed away, and then glared at him as even more blood dripped to the floor from his arm. She was now no longer having blue flames coming from her hands.

“After a week or so with no food, maybe you’ll be more useful. That is, if you’re still alive,” said Azula, grinning. “Meanwhile, I’ll be sure Ty Lee here keeps an eye on you.”

“Looking…forward…to that,” said Noku, not wanting to feel more pain.

They walked out of the room and shut the door. Noku spat some blood out of his mouth at the door in frustration at the Fire Nation Princess.

‘What a spoiled little brat,' thought Noku.

But after just 1 minute, Ty Lee came back and shoved a small apple in Noku’s mouth, enough for him to just eat in one bite. She also wrapped some bandages around his injured arm and was done wrapping it in record time.

“At least some food would be nice,” whispered Ty Lee, as she walked out and shut the door.

After Noku swallowed his only meal at the prison, he started to finally fall asleep.

‘Weird…..but nice’ thought Noku, as he felt every moment the apple being digested.

He finally fell asleep and relaxed for the first time today, even at a top-ranked prison and with infinite injuries, including all his pressure points sore as hell and a dagger wound in his arm.

Book3: Chapter8: The Worst Night of the Invasion

My God, do I have to say this every dang chapter? Disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

“WE HAVE TO GO BACK!!” yelled Toph, over and over again.

She was being dragged by Jet and Longshot as they struggled greatly to keep her with them. Twice they have been hit by rocks in the back of the head as Toph sometimes bended rocks up on accident as she stomped on the ground. She had tears flying all over as she kicked and screamed.

“Toph, please calm down!” asked Suki, looking rather afraid of her.

“I don’t feel Noku fighting in there anymore! You don’t know how I feel!!” yelled Toph.

“We’ll rescue him later, but we need to go back to the base before a Fire Nation army arrives,” said Aang, trying to calm her down.

Toph finally gave up struggling and had even more tears sliding down her face as she was on her knees now.

“I feel someone being dragged in there…” said Toph, trying to wipe her eyes.

They managed to return to the AoF base on the other side of the cliff. They saw everyone exactly the way they were at sunset. The only difference was that it was night and campfires were everywhere. Most of them telling how well their division and squad did in the landings on the beach earlier that day, others singing their favorite song from home such as ‘Four Seasons’. It would’ve been a great moment, but the GAang were 1 short of what they had and miserably went to the main tent where the Earth King was at. He was the only one in the tent besides the guards outside the tent as the Earth King seemed to be thinking of strategies for future advancements.

“So, I’m guessing you got the information on that fort?” asked the Earth King. “You kids and the Special Forces were gone a litter longer than I expected…”

The GAang just shook their heads and sat around the giant map of the Fire Nation, which was in the center of the tent.

“Did it go alright?” asked the Earth King.

“Can’t you see that we have 5 here?!” asked Ito, looking a bit teary himself, as he kept wiping his eyes before the tears came out.

The Earth King counted the 5 and noticed it as well.

“Oh…so the Firebender…past away?” asked the Earth King.

“NO HE DIDN’T!!” yelled Toph.

Every soldier near the tent covered their ears from Toph’s exclaim. The others heard it and thought it was some dark spirit haunting them while others thinking the yelling was a prank to make them think that. Then they went back to their activities.

“Toph is just really sad…but no, he wasn’t KIA,” said Sokka. (A/N: KIA means ‘Killed in Action’)

“He’s been captured by the person who led the rebellion of Ba Sing Se, Azula,” said Katara.

“Did that person arrive here by coincidence?” asked the Earth King.

The GAang took turns explaining what Azula told them at the fort. The Earth King thought for a moment and then looked at Toph with an idea in his head.

“Toph, I know you’re really upset, but I need your help,” said the Earth King.

Toph just nodded and listened while trying to control herself.

“I need you to interrogate the Dai Li and tell which one, or ones, are lying. Ask them all the same exact questions to make it easier,” explained the Earth King. “We need to see if the spy is still in our army or not.”

“I’ll do it right now. Just get their attention for me,” asked Toph.

The Earth King nodded and went outside to announce for the interrogation to begin. Slowly, one by one, the loyal Dai Li got into a line. The one who would be next would enter the Earth King’s tent, sit in the center, and will be asked by Toph a series of questions involving the AoF.

“Boy, first we sneak out of the capitol of the Earth Kingdom, then attack the Fire Nation, and we get thanked by getting interrogated,” whispered a Dai Li agent.

“Yeah, this is some night,” whispered another with a cut on his eye.

“Cut your chat and get moving!” ordered a general.

The GAang watched Toph interrogate the Dai Li. One after one, they all looked innocent as they were being questioned by the young Earthbender.

Finally, the last one left and Toph stood up looking the same as she was earlier.

“They were all telling the truth,” said Toph quietly. “The spy is still with Azula.”

The GAang hugged her, knowing now they might never find the spy who snuck into the Army of Freedom.

Meanwhile, at the fort still, Noku had just regained consciousness and was remembering what had happened. He knew he must’ve gotten jabbed a few more times as all his pressure points were as sore as if you were frozen for 100-years…

Yeah, another cliffhanger in a way...sorry, it's to keep you interested!

Book3: Chapter7: Do or Die

Again, the boring disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender". Though I did once in a dream...

“Who’s she?” asked Jet.

“She’s the girl that attacked us!” replied Keya, drawing a katana sword and shield.

“And the other 2 also!” finished Suki, doing the same thing.

Ty Lee just stood there, smiling and staring at Sokka, who was just looking around at the surrounding Dai Li. Mai was looking like she was enjoying this moment and shockingly smiling. Azula just stood there as well, giving her awful look.

“You managed to survive Avatar. Not that surprised, but you weren’t that hard to follow,” said Azula. “An entire army trying to escape Ba Sing Se is very noticeable and very easy to get a spy into the army.”

“Should’ve known we had a spy in our army!” said Ito, wielding his long sword.

“I’m sure it was one of these Dai Li right here,” replied Aang, looking at the agents closely.

“The Earth King trusts anyone too much. It makes our plan a lot easier,” said Azula, taking a fighting stance with two fingers sticking out instead of fists.

“Hey cutie,” whispered Ty Lee to Sokka, but it wasn’t heard by anyone, except Mai, but she just ignored that.

Noku was just staring around the room with his eyes only, trying to see any weak points in the hall or ceiling that he could strike to save everyone. But with the Dai Li surrounding them, it was impossible without fighting half of them off to strike at a wall. He then saw a crack above them on the ceiling, showing the weak spot. Toph felt him looking up and smiled.

“Thinking what I’m thinking?” whispered Toph.

“Do it,” replied Noku.

Toph just moved her foot an inch and caused some rocks to fall from the weak point of the ceiling and to the spot between Azula and the GAang. It was just enough time for the SpecOps to make their move and attacked the Dai Li behind them with extra force. Sokka, Suki, and Jet all charged at them head on, wielding weapons of all sorts. Smellerbee and Longshot were blocking the rocks the Dai Li were shooting. The rest of the GAang were just attacking everyone hostile. Azula blasted the rocks out of the way and jabbed blue fire at Aang. He re-directed it thanks to Noku’s training and sent it to some Dai Li that were still on the ceiling.

“See you’ve learned some old-class bending, it’s not going to save you now!” said Azula, now kicking fire at him at full velocity.

Aang started blocking them with air and earth while everyone else was fighting the Dai Li. Ty Lee jumped on the walls and ran to Katara. She easily bended water at her and caused her to land right near Sokka.

“Hey cutie,” said Ty Lee, trying to jab him.
”What?!” said Suki, striking her with full force with her katana sword.

Mai was hurling darts at Ito. He slashed at them and whenever he blocked some, he would then counter by hurling rocks at her. She always easily avoided his rocks and continued to hurl darts at the 13-year old Earthbender.

Then, Fire Nation soldiers started to come out behind Azula and were headed at the young fighters of freedom. These Fire Nation soldiers were obviously waiting for the right moment to appear as they had just appeared. Noku had no choice but to do a ‘do or die’ thing. He shot out a large fireball at the ceiling, making it completely weak and it started to crumble. But the crack led to in between him and the GAang.

“You guys get out of here, tell the Earth King that this place is more than it appears!!” yelled Noku, deflecting fire from Azula. “DO NOT ATTACK THIS PLACE!!”

“Noku, come on!” yelled Aang, trying to bend some rocks up from the ceiling.

“No time, GO!!”

As he yelled it, the entire hall started to collapse. The GAang and SpecOps ran out of the hall in time, avoiding the Dai Li on the ground, and got outside just as the ceiling in between them and the Outcast collapsed. They saw a bunch of dust coming out of the fort.

“We have to go back!” yelled Toph, trying to earthbend some rocks out of the way.

“Toph we can’t! The Fire Nation army should be here to help the Princess,” said Sokka.

She just fell down to her knees, crying, as she felt the figures inside still fighting hard.

Noku was trapped between a collapsed wall and the Fire Nation. He was running out of energy so quickly. He deflected Azula’s fire blasts by firing his own, Mai’s darts by ducking and dodging, and blocked arrows with good firebending from the archers behind the trio of girls while the Special Forces ran for it. Then Azula gave a signal to stop the fighting. Noku had nearly fainted of exhaustion as he looked at Azula while on his knees.

“Never seen such an awful traitor of the Fire Nation with so much power,” said Azula, crossing her arms as some Fire Nation soldiers got in a ready position to strike another blast.

“It’s only part of what I have!” yelled Noku, hoping for his plan to work.

“He’s bluffing,” said Mai, getting ready to throw more darts.

“You think? Then stay where you are and see what happens…”

He used the last of his energy to get up and make his electric/fire armor and revealed his fire eyes at the soldiers. The rocks behind him started to turn red hot as the fire from the armor was flaring.

“What the-?!!” yelled Azula.

Noku ran straight at them at full speed, touching the walls along the way to burn them. The Fire Nation soldiers as well as Ty Lee and Mai took several steps back, but Azula held her ground. Then he came face to face with Azula without ceasing his running. He was about to do a quick jab to her gut, but he found himself being choked by her instead a second earlier. All this had happened in only a very few seconds.

“Nice trick, but I know ALL weaknesses of Firebenders,” said Azula, now holding Noku in the air by his neck, dangling.

Noku started to feel her nails dig deeper into his skin as some blood started to appear from the marks. He also started to feel her hand getting hotter and hotter from her anger.

“It’s--not--over!” said Noku, choking from her tight grasp.

“Oh, it is,” said Azula, waving an arm from behind to order Ty Lee to do her thing.

Ty Lee got behind Noku and jabbed him in all of the weak points from behind, causing him to black out from complete energy lack. The last thing he remembered seeing was the soldiers tying something on him with metal chains…

Book3: Chapter6: Special Forces

Alright guys, this is my first chapter that hasn't been seen by anyone except me. All the chapters before were posted before it disappeared from Nick.com. So remember that you, my fellow readers, are the VERY first ones to read and view the rest of the chapters besides me.

Disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

Daybreak had finally arrived in the Fire Nation. It was hard to believe the entire 1st attack was only a few hours as it had the casualty rate in the record books. The Army of Freedom was in tents of all kind. Just a piece of cloth, earth, Water Tribe, and captured Fire Nation tents made them up. The 3 trenches were filled up to make more room for the soldiers to make their tents and the trebuchets and catapults of the AoF were placed along the beach to guard the AoF if the Fire Nation counterattacked. The GAang was sitting on a high piece of a boulder that was made by an Earthbender of the AoF and was also looking at the sunset as it lowered on the horizon.

“Sure is beautiful,” said Katara.

“Yeah, it is,” replied Aang.

“Ok, I’m bored now,” said Sokka.

“Is he always like this?” whispered Ito to Noku and Toph, who were sitting together, having their heads touch.

“Stupid and weird at the same time? Yeah, he is,” replied Toph.

They all looked back at the sunset (except Toph, who was just staring ahead.). They heard footsteps behind them as Jet, Suki, Smellerbee, Longshot, and the Kyoshi Warrior named Keya walked to Noku. Suki had some scroll in her hand that looked a lot like the one the captain of the ship Freedom had.

“We have an assignment from the Earth King,” said Jet.

”Sorry, I can’t understand him, anyone know what he’s saying?” asked Noku, acting like a little kid.

Jet just sighed and looked at Suki. She gave a weird look and then just spoke for him.

“We have a mission from the Earth King and Bumi. They want us to recon the fort we attack tomorrow and want the information,” said Suki.

Noku and Toph got up and looked at them, along with the rest of the GAang.

“All right, let’s go ‘recon’ the fort. To tell you the truth, I have a feeling it’s more than that,” replied Noku.

“I want to help,” said Sokka suddenly, as he was bored.

“Yeah, we have nothing to do,” said Aang, also bored.

“You might as well join. You other 3 also want to help?” asked Noku.

“Yes,” replied Katara, Toph, and Ito.

“Let’s go then. And Ito, be sure to listen to us and not to yell ‘LOOK, THEIR’S A FIREBENDER’, that’ll just get us killed.”

They climbed up the rocky cliff that led to the mainland to get to the fort from the eastern side, where they would least suspect it as it was no place for an army to advance from. The GAang and the SpecOps of the AoF finally got to the top, overlooking the rather small fort.

“This is way too easy. This fort is less fortified than the one on Okinawa and we have skilled and experienced fighters this time,” said Noku, looking at the fort. “Not to mention more also.”

It was rather like looking at a volcano. It had smoke all around it, from the hundreds of torches and from the factory not too far north from where they were at that was producing tanks and other weapons. The group climbed down to the fort slowly and eventually was now along the metal wall surrounding the fort. Toph touched the wall to see if anyone was on the other side.

“All clear,” she whispered.

Sokka and Aang kicked down a nearby door and the group snuck in. It looked like inside a Fire Navy ship, cramped, walls made of metal, and no hole to reveal the sky. The only difference was the ground, which was dirt and earth. They found an armory with tons of armor inside.

“I’m going borrow this,” said Noku, grabbing an elite Firebender uniform and put it on.

No one else grabbed some armor and they continued down the halls. Noku now looked like the royal Firebenders that protected the nobles of the Fire Nation; all he needed now was the mask and the armor itself. Sadly, however, all were too big and he had to put it back to avoid pulling back the SpecOps.

“This is weird; no one is near this area at all. Could it be deserted?” asked Toph.

“Really? I thought I heard some sounds,” replied Keya, playing with her hair.

They froze when they heard her say that. She looked shocked and tried to look away as she was the center of attention. Noku, Ito, and Jet with his gang immediately started to look around as they noticed the ceiling was pitch-black when she mentioned it.

“What? It could’ve been some rats or something.”

“I hope not,” replied Katara, now looking disgusted.

Then, out of nowhere, Dai Li agents fell from the metal ceiling and surrounded the SpecOps. They looked ready to strike with full force as they equipped their rock gloves and boots to the ready position.

“Are these guys friendly, or the bad ones?” asked Katara, getting her water pouch open and ready just in case.

“They’re with me,” said a dark and familiar voice.

Then, dropped 3 more figures that were the most horrifying sight you can see. All in their Fire Nation clothes this time.

“Azula!” yelled the GAang.

Book3: Chapter5: The War Balloon

That sorta stunk; only 2 comments on Chapter 4...oh well, I've been through worse. I'll post this chapter and be done for today since of all my homework. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

Everyone of the GAang looked up see a giant war balloon with the Fire Nation insignia. It looked like a large supply of bombs strapped below it as well as many soldiers and engineers onboard in the casket.

“TAKE OUT THAT BALLOON!!” yelled Sokka.

The AoF’s Earthbenders all tried to hit the balloon with their boulders, but it was too far up. Noku noticed that everyone one else of the GAang was in the same trench. He ran to Aang, who just airbended a Fire Nation archer down from the 3rd trench by hitting him in the head with the air.

“Aang, can you make it to that balloon?!” asked Noku, pointing into the air and to the red threat.

“Already ahead of you!” yelled Aang, getting out his glider and flew up.

Noku then saw Katara and her squad held up right next to Ito’s squad at the entrance of the tunnel. Noku ran up to them and was now sided with Katara and Ito. Both squads were sidled up against the wall that led to the cave.

“What’s the hold up?” asked Noku.

“Elite archers are inside,” replied Katara, not bothering to stick her head in sight of the archers inside.

“We need to clear it out. We’ll use it as a shelter against that war balloon’s bombs. If that balloon drops its bombs, we’ll lose at least thousands of!” yelled Noku, as he had sparks of electricity from his fingers. “Everyone get clear!!”

He started to make his lightning. The soldiers of the 2 squads watched in amazement as he swiftly moved his fingers around in a circle-like shape. Noku then stepped in front of the hole and fired his lighting inside right when the archers fired their arrows. The lightning vaporized the arrows and hit all of the campers inside.

“For once, lightning is a good friend,” said a colonel.

“Get everyone you can find into the tunnel. Beware of any more defenders!” ordered Noku.

Katara and Ito nodded and their squads moved in the tunnel while on full alert. Noku was yelling at some soldiers scared in the 1st trench to move into the tunnel. Only about half listened as the other half were deflecting arrows or getting hit by them. Noku couldn’t help noticing that something wasn’t right. It seemed the Fire Nation knew they were coming. Because how would they have elite archers and Firebenders, defending the trenches and the beach with a giant war balloon hovering above? He also wondered that why it felt as if someone was missing…

“Toph!”

He ran along the trench, hoping to find the Blind Bandit. He traveled throughout the trenches and had to fight off some resistance along the way as some Firebenders were trying to push back the AoF back to the 1st trench. He then finally saw Toph defending herself from some Firebenders that were cornered in the trench.

“Get down!!” yelled Noku.

Toph just listened and lowered her wall that she had and herself. Noku kicked out fire at them full blast. He only got to knock down half of the opposing squad. They again launched fire at the 2. Toph got back up, raised a humongous rock from behind, and launched it at them, smashing back inside the room they were in.

“Thanks,” said Noku.

“Welcome,” she replied.

He gave her a quick kiss and hurried back to the tunnel that was being raided by Katara and Ito’s squads. He entered to see that the 2 squads advanced a lot in the past few minutes. It was like he ran half a mile then saw them again fighting Firebenders that were behind miniature metal walls inside the tunnel. Noku just started to make his lightning again and was about to fire at the archers. Ito looked back as he heard the familiar sound of sparks flying from his fingertips

“He’s going to fire again, DUCK AND COVER!!” yelled Ito.

The squad stopped attacking them and dived out of the way. Noku again vaporized the arrows and archers in the cave with his lightning. He then felt really weak and fell to his knees in exhaustion.

“Noku, you need to save some energy. This invasion just started!” advised Katara, trying to see if she can heal some light injuries Noku had.

“I have to unleash all of my energy to save lives,” replied Noku, rubbing where Katara last healed. “Continue to advance, I’ll see if I can signal this place somehow so the others can-“

They suddenly heard many explosions and people screaming in pain. The explosions were so big; dirt was falling off the roof of the tunnel.

“The bombing has already started!!”

Noku ran out of the tunnel and back to the beach, leaving Katara and Ito to secure the rest of the tunnel. He saw the war balloon flying over some of the transports, dropping the bombs on top of them. He watched in horror as the men inside the last transport tried to fire up their portable earth to the balloon, but only to be blasted by its bombs.

‘We need those men’ thought Noku. ‘Come on…hurry up Aang’.

He went back to the 1st trench to see Sokka and his squad fighting some soldiers throwing bombs at them. Only a few managed to get in range of Sokka’s squad, killing about ¼ of his squad.

“Why are they advancing with their special forces so early?!” asked Sokka to no one in particular.

“People are just weird Sokka,” replied Noku from behind. “Let’s hope Aang can take out that war balloon before it destroys our support.”

Aang was fighting all he can at the elite Firebenders on the balloon. They were dodging his airbending and blocking his firebending. He knew the only thing he can do to win this fight. He triggered his Avatar State and unleashed tornado-like air at them. They all fell off the balloon and all that was left was the engineers. They didn’t bother to fight, so they ducked and covered like children. Aang blew out fire, like Roku, at the engine and it started to burn bad. He turned off his State, got his glider, and flew off the now descending balloon. He only got a little distance as the engine blew up, causing him to lose control. The force was so great; Aang couldn’t keep it flying and headed straight at the ground. This was it; he wasn’t going to make it out of this one.

Then out of no where, Katara came from the nearby tunnel and caught Aang. She fell down from the strong force.

“That’s now twice you saved me,” said Aang.

“And twice you owe me,” replied Katara.

She gave him quick kiss as Noku and Sokka ran to them.

“Great work Aang. Now we just have to clear the last trench then we’ll send running home,” said Sokka.

“I think that’s already solved……” replied Noku, pointing at the last trench.

They saw Toph coming from the right side; flanking and smashing everyone in her way with a large boulder. They saw Ito and Katara’s squad move in from the left side as well. They met and hurled rocks at the retreating men, climbing up the beach and to the fort ahead, behind the cliff. The battle on the beach was over. Everyone cheered for the GAang as they met at the last trench. They also saw the Earth King land and bringing catapults and reinforcements, the lucky soldiers that weren’t in the landings. The soldiers cleared a path for the Earth King as he appeared before them.

“The first part of the operation is complete. Now we need to secure that fort the soldiers retreated to. We’ll do that tomorrow; these soldiers need their rest,” said the Earth King.

“Alright, I can use a good nap,” said Sokka, faking a yawn.

“You always sleep Snoozles,” said Toph.

“Well, a warrior needs his rest.”

“What about a bender?” asked Ito, putting back his long sword onto his back.

“They are different. They have more energy and stuff like that.”

They looked back into the ocean where the rest of the Army of Freedom was landing, watching the hundreds and thousands of ships coming ashore, landing supplies, catapults, and soldiers.

“I agree with Sokka. Let’s make camp as soon as possible and rest, we need it,” said Noku.

They agreed as they made their tents and overlooked the entire army landing from where the 3rd trench was. They also saw all the bodies on the beach, lying their, either burnt or have an arrow in him. This sight was very similar to Ito and Noku, as it looked the same at Nanjing, except with AoF soldiers this time. The only ones that weren’t burnt were most of the Fire Nation soldiers.

“What’s the casualty count?” asked Noku to a passing medic.

“Not good at all, so far, we have 2,500 dead of the 20,000 who landed, times 2 wounded, and the count is still going,” replied the medic, looking at some bodies being transported to a ship. “About 1/3 of the casualties were from that balloon’s bombing.”

Noku then looked at the bodies being transported in a carriage led by an ostrich-horse and saw the same Corporal’s body that was in between the 2nd and 3rd trench in it.

“I’m going to miss that guy,” said Noku, with some tears in his eyes. “Along with my entire squad…...”

Toph walked to him and hugged him from behind. The first day of fighting already got Noku the bad war-fever as he noticed and saw all the worse things. Aang also looked sad and hugged Katara as she hugged him 1st. Sokka then looked at Ito the same way that the rest did to their hugging partner.

“Don’t even think about it,” said Ito, pointing at his face.

SPECIAL Book3: Chapter4: The Beginning of the End {PART3}

Again, Disclaimer: I do NOT own "Avatar: The Last Airbender"

(Ito)

‘My first taste in a real actual battle; a battle where I’m actually in an army clashing with another army’ thought Ito to himself.

The fireballs were everywhere. It was harder for the middle transports to evade the fireballs coming down onto them like meteors. The driver of Ito’s squad looked like a complete wimp, not even looking where he was driving.

“PAY ATTENTION!!” ordered Ito to the driver.

The driver slowly got back up and steered them back on course. He then looked at the rest of his squad, looking tough and ready for battle.

“At least I don’t have to worry about you guys. I heard about the Resistance of Omashu and their stealth,” said Ito calmly.

“We couldn’t reveal ourselves completely, so stealth was our #1 friend, sir!” replied a Sergeant.

“Hope you guys are ready. I know you’ve been waiting for this for a while now,” said Ito, who remembered about the Resistance and their fighting style.

“Always, sir!” yelled another Sergeant, saluting him.

“At ease, soldier. Did I say the command right?” asked Ito to the soldier near him.

He just nodded and looked back to being tense.

Arrows started to fly to the transports. Ito immediately made a wall, along with the rest of the squad. They formed an earth wall around them (and the driver to keep him up). The arrows started to hit their wall. Some of them were going half-way through the wall, sticking out at Ito, who was ducking a bit to not be near the arrow.

30 SECONDS!!” yelled the driver.

“A little encouragement would be nice,” said Ito. “Coward…”

The arrows started to come deeper in the wall. They were now close enough for elite archers to fire an arrow right through the wall. The doors started to lower as they also lowered the wall in front of them, seeing the 1st battalion landing earlier. The doors finished opening and the wall was thick enough to repel any arrow. They advanced very quickly and assisted the rest of the battalions up the beach. Ito’s battalion was just tasked to help out any others with their objective. However, they were restricted from advancing to far.

“You 8 follow me!” ordered Ito, as he pointed to the soldiers that were about to spread out.

“Hit them fast and hard!!”

They charged up the beach and toward the archers of the 1st trench. They fired all the earth they had, gathered some sand, packed it into their pouches, and got into the 1st trench. Ito saw Toph ducking alone and ordered his squad to follow him.

“It’s chaos itself out here,” he said, breathing hard.

“Can you cover me? I can’t see them firing their arrows,” asked Toph.

“No problem…I guess.”

Ito ordered his squad to get up and advance to the 2nd trench ahead of them. They advanced like wild animals as they launched tons of sand at them. They started to retreat further into the trenches as Ito’s squad followed them. He looked behind him, in the trenches, to see Toph running the other way.

“Good luck,” he said.

He caught up to his squad as they were siding in the walls that led to an underground room inside the trench.

“Let me handle this,” said Ito.

He grabbed a helmet, abandoned by a soldier, stuck it to his sword, and slowly stuck it out into the room. It instantly was hit by like 5 arrows at once.

“That’s obviously not a safe spot!” said Ito to the Colonel of this squad.

They tried to think of a way to move in, looking into the sky.

“What in the world is that?!” yelled a Sergeant in his squad.

They all looked up to see something that discouraged them all to the core…

(Noku)

He had to make tons of fire in hoping to vaporize anything coming to them. He stopped making the fire wall and looked around. Strangely, none of the fireballs seemed to be aiming at them.

“That’s strange,” said the Corporal.

“Very strange,” replied Noku.

He then saw tons of arrows heading right at them.

“MAKE ANY KIND OF WALL!!!” ordered Noku.

He made all the fire he can upward to hopefully vaporize the arrows that came. Below the fire were individual earth walls covering themselves. The driver was still driving bravely without a wall protecting him, even when an arrow missed him by a foot.

“Brave guy…Everyone, be brave like our driver!” ordered Noku, pointing at the driver.

They all looked at him and some chuckled.

“That guy doesn’t have emotions,” replied a Private.

“Did I ask if he did? Just act like him when we land onto that beach!” yelled Noku.

“YES SIR!” replied the squad.

“30 seconds! May the spirits be with you!” said the driver as loud as he can, which wasn’t much at all.

They all ducked to be hidden from anyone in front, waiting. All that appeared from their enemies’ point of view were the tips of some helmets. Noku looked back at his squad. He just noticed these men were barely in their 20s or even younger.

‘What’s wrong with the military today? Putting these lives in the front of a historic battle’ thought Noku.

Then, an arrow from the trenches fired up and headed straight to Noku’s boat. He tried to blast it, but it was too small and it nailed one of his men in the foot that wasn’t paying attention.

“OW!! MOTHERF—“

“Medic!” called Noku.

A soldier near the back with a red cross painted onto his metal shoulder pad came up and started to pull out the arrow from the soldier. He yelled in pain as the arrow was pulled out and he started to treat it.

‘This is NOT a good start’ thought Noku, looking forward again and to the metal door of the boat.

“I want you all to remember why you’re fighting. Not just or your families or friends, but for the world,” reminded Noku.

“We’ll remember that for sure, sir!” replied the Corporal.

“Please don’t call me ‘sir’ for the last time,” whispered Noku to him.

The doors were unscrewing and opening. They were the very first to land on this beach. But when the doors opened, they saw archers aiming right at them. The squad was getting hit by almost every arrow. Only about ¼ of Noku’s squad was alive now and were climbing over the sides of the boat to avoid the arrows. Noku unleashed his firepower at the archers as they retreated to the trenches ahead.

“EVERYONE OFF THE SHIP!!” ordered Noku.

The remains of the squad spread out and got off the ship. But when right when the last one stepped off, a close range catapult fired a ball at the boat and exploded it.

“Poor guy, may he rest in peace,” said Noku, quietly, thinking of the driver.

The squad was spread out into 1 line and advanced. Right behind them the other squads started to land.

“You guys go do the objective, I’m going to help these warriors out!” yelled Noku.

“But what about the bet?!” replied the Corporal, firing rocks at the archers.

“Good luck with that!!”

Noku turned to help other warriors off transports by shielding them while the rest of his beat-up squad advanced forward to the trenches. Arrows were flying everywhere as well as a few shots of fire from the 3rd trench. As the arrows were buzzing and the fire blasting, the numbers of the AoF were shrinking, and fast. He looked around to see everyone else getting hit by arrows or fire. It was so hard to go anywhere with the explosions from the catapults and Firebenders, also with the arrows buzzing around every second. He then saw Sokka’s transport being aimed at by a catapult close by.

‘Not on my watch’ thought Noku.

He unleashed all the fire he had from his arms toward the catapult. It exploded when it got hit by the fire as the ball on the catapult was covered in gas. Right when that happened, Sokka and his warriors stormed off the boat and onto the Fire Nation beaches.

“You guys need to move fast. Division 1 is getting slaughtered,” said Noku.

“Lead the way, we’ll assist you,” replied Sokka.

Noku sprinted ahead of them, kicking fire at any one shooting fire at him. He even did the move he taught Aang a month earlier by bending the fire like it was water and re-directed it at the trench. He saw Sokka’s warriors get inside the trench and sat down.

“What are you doing?!” asked Noku.

“Orders are orders!” replied a warrior.

He didn’t hear what Sokka said and tried to find his old squad. He managed to jump into the 2nd trench along with about all the other 4 divisions. Then, a trebuchet fired and the ball had blasted right next to Noku and some 4 soldiers of the AoF. He was on the ground inside the 2nd trench as it seemed all the sound of the world had vanished and everything was in slow-motion a bit. He fell to his back as he didn’t know if he was injured or not. A very young medic then crouched to him and was screaming some order while looking at the down Firebender and holding onto his helmet with one hand. Noku then felt himself being picked up by the medic and was thrown onto his shoulder. He looked up to find almost all of the divisions inside the 2nd trench shooting rocks at the 3rd trench while that trench fired back.

Next thing he knew, he was on the ground again suddenly as if he was thrown down. He got halfway up to see an arrow through the medic’s back. The sight haunted him as he thought why the Fire Nation would harm a young man like him. Slowly, but surely, his hearing started to come back as he found himself a sitting target in between the 1st and 2nd trenches. After blasting some arrows to ash with his fire, he ran full speed into the 2nd trench. As he dove headfirst, he could tell a fire blast had barely missed him as he felt the heat through his heavy leather boots. He then looked up where the 3rd trench was at after regaining his breath. On the ground between the 2 trenches, he saw the bodies of the remains of his squad, lying their. He even saw the Corporal on the ground with an arrow through his stomach.

“May they rest in peace,” said Noku, feeling an urge to cry.

He tried to ignore it by looking up into the sky. He saw something humongous flying.

“It’s a war balloon,” he said to himself

(Sokka)

“FIREBALLS!!” yelled a Water Tribe warrior behind Sokka.

His squad ducked in fear, hoping they will have a chance to even make it to the beach. Sokka, however, was still standing, looking at the beaches.

“Sokka, get down! You’re going to get hit!” yelled the same warrior.

“There are times when you just have to stand up to your fears!” replied back Sokka.

The catapult-launched fireballs were barely missing his squad’s boat. Most splashes were coming into the boat. The warriors had to carry some water out with their bare hands.

“Where’s my dad’s boat?!” asked Sokka.

“He should be directly behind us!!” yelled back a buff-looking warrior.

“Good, so we’re right where we should be,” said Sokka to himself.

He then saw Aang come onto his boat, making an ice wall onto his ship since the arrows were now being fired.

“Sokka, I know you’re brave, but think harder!!” yelled Aang.

“We’re going to make it, I know it!!” yelled back Sokka.

Aang then took off back to his own ship. Sokka tried to look through the ice, seeing some tiny firefly-like dots flying over it. Then, some arrows started to hit the ice wall, surprising Sokka.

“Now you need to get down! The wall will shatter if it’s hit any more times!!” yelled a wimpy-looking warrior.

“We’ll just try our best to deflect the arrows!” yelled back Sokka, more proud than ever.

The entire squad looked at the boat right next to them and saw its wall shatter. Everyone then was barraged by more arrows in that boat and seemed to just vanish from the smoke of the arrows.

“WE CAN’T DO THIS, WE’RE NEXT TO DIE!!!” yelled the wimpy one again, now grasping on the side of the ship with all his strength.

“Now’s the time to prove you’re a true protector of the world, show some backbone!!” yelled Sokka.

More arrows started to hit the ice wall. It now looked like someone drew on it with a black pen due to its cracks all over it. Sokka finally knelt down, fearing the wall shattering.

30 SECONDS!! MAY THE SPIRITS BE WITH YOU!!!” yelled the driver.

‘We’re going to make’ thought Sokka over and over again.

Finally, another arrow bulls-eyed the wall and it shattered. The arrows then stormed the boat.

“Deflect them!” ordered Sokka.

He got out his boomerang and club and started to whack any nearby arrows. The rest of the warriors got up and joined him; defending themselves. Even in the cramped boat, the men seemed to swing their swords at the right times at the arrows without hitting anyone else. It was the longest 30 seconds in Sokka’s life. It seemed time was in slow-motion as the arrows just kept on coming. Sokka then found a catapult on the beach that was aiming right at them.

“WE NEED HELP!!” yelled Sokka, still trying his best to fight off the arrows.

They then just saw a big flare from the catapult as the door opened finally. They thought they were getting killed by the catapult, but it was Noku who was standing in their sight instead of a fireball.

“You guys need to move fast. Division 1 is getting slaughtered,” said Noku to Sokka’s squad.

“Lead the way and we’ll assist you,” replied Sokka.

Noku nodded and just blasted fire in front of Sokka toward the trenches. Noku sprinted as Sokka’s squad followed. They let Noku clear some resistance in the corner of the 1st trench and they held their position.

“What are you doing?!” asked Noku under arrow and regular fire.

“Our orders were to hold the 1st line when we got to the beach!” replied Sokka.

Noku just kept on advancing alone. Sokka and his warriors took a deep breather before moving along the trenches to make sure it was clear. Sokka was throwing his boomerang at distant Fire Nation soldiers, hitting at least one every time. His squad finished clearing the 1st trench completely and relaxed while the rest of the divisions advanced furiously. He then looked to the blackened sky to see something he thought he wouldn’t ever see again.

‘It can’t be…’

(Toph)

She couldn’t even see where she was standing. She was hanging on to the sides of the cramped boat calmly as the fireballs stormed the water around them. Her boat was actually made for her as they had lain a little bit of sand in the boat; though she wondered why they did that at all as it didn’t help much at all as her vision was still blurry and she still couldn’t see the beach that they were going to land on shortly.

“I need some earth!” ordered Toph at her squad.

A Corporal from the middle handed her his pouch of dirt and earth. She made a floating wall above them, though she couldn’t see where she was holding it up.

“Is it in a good position?!” asked Toph.

Some just said ‘yeah’, too scared to care. The others were saying a little lower, more backward, and so on. She finally had it where they all said ‘perfect!’ and she held it there. She just wanted to land as soon as possible so she can feel everything going on and fight. She was also annoyed how her squad wouldn’t be the first to land. She then heard arrows flying everywhere.

“Keep up the wall!” ordered a Captain.

They all used their portable earth and some of the sand in the boat to help reinforce her wall. It was now pretty thick and was blocking every arrow. She was also annoyed how she had to keep standing where she was at without moving, making her stiffer by the second.

30 SECONDS!! MAY THE SPIRITS BE WITH YOU!!!” yelled their driver.

“Finally!” said Toph in relief.

The arrows kept on coming, though none got through the wall. She heard the door starting to open, but she couldn’t wait any longer. She just ripped the door off the boat itself and charged onto the beach. The squad just followed in amazement at her metalbending. She put down the portable earth ahead and around to ‘see’ better.

“Everyone, bend your earth ahead of me!” ordered Toph.

They just listened and attacked the archers about to aim at Toph. She now felt everything from where she was standing to all the 3 trenches.

“CHARGE!!” yelled her entire squad.

They yelled along with the others and bravely charged at the trenches head-on. She felt a lot of her allies fall onto the earth that was spread out in front of her. She just used the earth behind her to make another wall and charged at the trenches behind it. She was running rather slower than she would, but she was actually nervous of how Noku and the rest of the GAang were doing. She just punched the wall forward at the 2nd trench and ducked into the 1st trench. She was trying to earthbend the ground in the trenches to spread onto the rest of the trenches. She wanted to be confident where she was going. She then felt Ito and his squad ducking around her inside the trenches.

“Its hell itself out here,” said Ito, gasping for breath after running so hard.

“Can you cover me? I can’t see them firing their arrows,” asked Toph.

“No problem…I guess,” replied Ito.

He and his squad stormed out of the trenches and charged at the 2nd trench. Toph followed behind them and just sent sand-rocks flying everywhere diagonally from the beach, so she wouldn’t hit Ito’s squad or anyone behind them. Ito finally got into the 2nd trench and advanced to the left of the trench. Toph just went to the right by herself. She had no idea where her squad or division was at. She felt some soldiers in the much deeper part of trench. She then earthbended a giant rock to cover the entrance to the area; trapping them inside.

‘Phew, my part is done’ thought Toph, sitting down inside the trench. She then heard lots of soldiers of the AoF gasping as it felt as they were looking into the sky.

‘Wonder what it is…’
