I'll definitely get Too Human, just with a slight delay. Fallout 3 on the other hand...day one!

funkyeyk

Fallout 3 huh. i'm sure it'll be good, but to me it's a re-wrapped Oblivion in large part.

Awesome!

This game looks great, but I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything new until I beat a few more in my collection.

funkyeyk

like what? I have mass effect that i cant play anymore becasue my path i picked (the combat and force abilities path) is still not strong enough where i can capture that blue girl, oblivion is ok.

Just downloaded it, and it is so obviously less than the disc that it's ridiculous. As put in post, is about 3/4 as good as the disc version.

If you run the game and let the music video play, that scenes from the game are 1/2 as good as the disc.

This is is yet another reason why i dont like microsoft or its game division.

so , yea, to all those who want to buy the download, DONT. get the disc instead.

Microsoft lies.

Has anyone else noticed this with other downloadable xbox original games?

I'm talking about Visual Quility in the Entire Game.

This game needed much more time and testing before releasing. The sound is messed up, the controls too slugish, the camera is weak, the combat is trouble, falling objects disapear(cars falling to the ground disapear without a trace) and overall, the game needs alot of work.

I spent $50. Hopefully I can get half of that back on ebay.

note: I forced, forced myself to play 20 minutes. That's enough.

It's worth playing. But it's not worth buying because it has almost zero replay value and is an overall flawed, albeit worthwhile, experience.

Playing "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" brings to mind the c.l.a.s.s.i.c idea of what one can find in any given Indiana-Jones-type action movie: jungles filled to the brim with buried ancient treasure from civilizations long since turned to dust and parties fighting each other during their quest to find the fortune. That is from where its worth comes. These scenarios are the stuff of pure adventure, and the game takes full advantage of this aspect. The locale is exotic, the ruins that hide the ancient treasure are awe-inspiring to look at, the conflicting parties have numerous encounters(most of which involving shooting guns), explosions, adventurous music keyed to the action, creepy music appropriate for the exploration, and an overall feeling that says, "wow, I'm in an exciting place to explore. It's like being in a movie."

However, video games are not mere movies, and they require the user to feel as if they are actually doing something, not just being a passive partner... How about this, there was a point early in the game when I just wanted to stop playing because the interactivity became just shy of mere movie participation. As an example, at one point I had to turn a lever to raise the door, but because I did not do it fast enough, the game did not let me continue. Instead, my compadre kicked me out of the way and did it himself! OMG! This substitution represents Sony's desire to maximize profits, for the company is trying to appeal to a broader audience. This numbing down is one of the things that holds back the game from being more enjoyable. Basically the entire game has this mentality; although, this and one other time are the most extreme examples. Still, puzzles are way too easy, and if the game feels like you can't handle it, it flashes the "L2" button to give you a hint. Needless to say, any experienced gamer would automatically wonder if the management at Sony has any concept of why gamers game. I believe one title sums it up. Super Mario Brothers. While full SMB does not have to be in every game, if at any point you take full control out of a players hands, you have signaled the death knell.

So, yea, the game is full of puzzle solving that is not really puzzle solving.

Oh, this huge Flaw has to be mentioned. (SPOILER IS COMING) The entire premise behind these explore-and-beat-your-opponent-to-the treasure genre is not present. It's a total joke. Let me explain. As you'd expect, you have to find the treasure and that entails going to room A and doing some puzzle solving and then a door opens up and you go down a hallway to room B that no one knows about. NOT HERE!! It's amazing, in every supposed secret room, the enemy has already been there. This happens the entire game to the obvious end. The bad guy is already where you end up even though you used the secret map. OMG!! Hello!!! Why did I play that game? Why are we here? Why did Sony make this game?

So, the action and shooting are fun, the scenery is great, the game takes you somewhere else, and you have a good time, so, Rent it. But don't buy it because the game is full of Fatal flaws.

Terrible. This is not a game, it's slightly more than a movie; meaning, this game is way too linear: no exploration whatever. The game forces you to go from A to B. I wonder if the creators ever played games like Kings Quest, Gabriel Knight, or even Zelda. Those are what video games must have: Exploration. The point is to be able to freely roam and interact on a more than superficial level. If I want to be led around on a leash, I'd watch a movie.

Also, the fact that the characters don't talk, except in cut-scenes, is a huge minus. Had there been more interactivity, this might be overlooked.

Wow, I could not get past the first 20 minutes. Folklore is that bad

Sony: while improved graphics and colors are an important direction to go towards, if you completely rip out the sole of games, all meaning and enjoyment is lost and the product becomes a MERE LURE for hard-earned money to be thrown into a bottomless PIT.

How any professional reviewer can, in good conscience, give this game more than a 6 becomes evident when $ is promised.
