I wouldn't buy a digital only console, but offering consumers the option seems like a no-brainer.

I'm not typically critical of the articles on this site, but...come on. You wrote up an article to offer up the most obvious price point prediction? If you were going to be that lazy, this could've just been a tweet. "Xbox Series X: What we predict it will cost? $500. Because duh."

This would've been a much better read (and worth my damn time) if you'd bothered to throw out some truly wild predictions and then tried to justify them. Like, "I'm anticipating a $750 price tag. Now, yes, that's higher than even the grossly overpriced PS3 at launch, but when you consider the tech that's in the thing - a newly developed SSD technology specifically designed for the Series X couldn't have come cheap - and the performance Microsoft has been touting that this thing will be capable of, $750 is actually a pretty modest price - especially when you compare the cost of building an equivalent gaming PC. Whether the CPU is a redesigned 2700X or a reduced 3700X, you're looking at a middle price of $250. And to get a minimum of 60FPS at 4K, even with tweaked graphics settings, you're probably looking at a 5700 XT, if not a version of AMD's newer cards coming later this year. Either way, figure $400 for the GPU. We're already at $650 and we haven't even factored in the SSD, RAM, case and cooling. Really, $750 isn't as absurd a price as it may seem." Or, "I'm calling it: Microsoft wins the next console generation by slapping their big d*ck console on the table at an insanely cheap $299, just daring Sony to try and match them while inviting the rest of us to just gobble that sh*t up. How can they sell it for so cheap? Maybe they cut a sweetheart deal with AMD for the CPUs and GPUs? Maybe Microsoft is willing to take a loss on the hardware because they know that every console they sell guarantees them a Game Pass subscription and they'll make it up on the back end? Maybe Phil Spencer made an unholy alliance with Lucifer himself and every Series X is infused with the soul of a resident of Hell who'll howl in agony from torments unimaginable every second the system is powered on - even in standby mode! - in exchange for Satan picking up the tab on production costs? Who knows? At that price, who the hell even cares!"

But, yeah, $500. I think just about everyone has been making that prediction since before this thing even had a name, based on nothing more than 1) that's what the Xbox One and the X both cost at launch, and 2) it's hard to imagine the average consumer paying more than that for 'just' a gaming system (at least a PC lets you do other stuff, like watch porn, stalk your ex through Instagram, and look up recipes for your mom).

I don't know if it was always priced that way, but I found it amusing that The Witcher III Game of the Year Edition is actually priced at $14.98, putting it one cent below the required $14.99 minimum price for that $10 off coupon.

Winning would be the only way I'd ever own any of these peripherals, because I just can't wrap my head around paying $200 for a keyboard, almost $200 for a headset, and over $100 for a mouse. That's more than I paid for my first car! (Admittedly, it was a bit of a junker, but it was a functional vehicle that got me back and forth to college and work for four years, and I got a $150 back when I eventually sold it.)

@mogan: Sadly, no, they left off right before the finale. I don't know if that's because it finally broke Rich or because that was around the time the world went to hell. But since there's going to be a second season of Picard, and I don't think Mike is capable of just not watching something with Star Trek in the name, I expect they'll cover that finale eventually.

Do you have any idea how hard I had to work to get that 4206969 gamerscore? And then the commitment to never play a game on Xbox again just to preserve it? What's next? You're going to take away my B0ngzillaS3XG0D username, too? Don't screw me on this, Microsoft!

Well, if the show sucks - and, if Kurtzman is involved, I think that's unavoidable - at least the RLM postmortem should be entertaining.

Look, Batman might be a "savior" to some people but, unfortunately, he is the world's greatest reservoir of viruses. Maybe if Gotham joined the civilized world and stopped having a virus-infested flying rodent man flapping about their open-air markets, this wouldn't happen.

Why do you think Bane blew up the bridges leading out of Gotham? Why do you think he wore that mask? Everyone tried to make him out to be the villain, but he knew what was up.

MacFarlane has no business acting outside of animation. He's just not believable as a human being; he always comes across as plastic and fake as f***. Actually, he should go into politics. He'd be perfect for that.

What are the odds Google Stadia will still be a thing come September? Hell, it's barely still a thing now.
