Fanboys: But the Ps3 fails, it only sold 11,000 consoles in Japan!
Logic: This is slowest season for video game system purchases, that can be said for all the systems.

Fanboys: Ps3 has lost the console war, CNN says so.
Logic: And so do most of the other media outlets, true, however the media is never a good indicator on the winner or loser.

Fanboys: Ps3 has no (good) games!
Logic: Well Resistance is great, personally enjoy it. Motorstorm is a blast along with the AAA multiplatform Oblivion, not to mention Ninja Gaiden Sigma is arriving. And it's a good remake, playing the demo so far in my opinion. I'm pretty sure the other games on other systems are great as well. This is a nice amount of games in just a short period of time.

Fanboys: Ken fled before the ship sunk! PS3 is titantic.
Logic: As you know Ken Kutaragi was not the best PR (in fact, I personally don't think any sane gamer would take him seriously), he did some amazing things for Sony, and I actually do feel he made a good contribution on the PS3. As far as he goes though, he needed to be shuffled in, or pulled out. Since the Ps3 is out, there needs to be someone close to the software side, aka Kaz H. Hope to see what he can do for the future, but we all know that he needed to be pulled out after his mistakes, one instance regarding spending overbudget.

Fanboys: But Ps3 is a flop, no one's buying it, and its on shelves anywhere, its $600 now too, no 20 gb, and a rumored 80gb? Please....
Logic: As far as the first six months go, even though there is still a huge chunk of stock left, it is selling pretty well. As far as consumer interest goes, there seems to be a lot of people seemingly curious about the PS3, and its "mysteriousness." It is a an expensive machine, and from my personal experience, I also enjoy it the most of all. So far, for the last six months its been out, it's been a solid system, little reports of any (if at all) breaking down or having technical issues. The games are slowly beginning to build out. If you actually take the time to try out the system, play it with a clear mind, play it for about a couple minutes and see what you think.
I managed to do that for all the systems before I decided, and I do enjoy my two consoles. Just wait for a price drop in the near future, bite the bullet and buy it premium, or just not buy it. You have a choice, enjoy your purchases. Remember, these companies fight for your money, if not does not appeal, well you don't have to buy it. Make sure to keep in mind that these companies, nintendo, ms, and sony, are not to be criticized if their machine does not appeal to you. All in all, we have more choice this generation than we ever have.
