@t1000_v2: Is it the only thing you've ever read on the internet? Because one has to assume that based on your comment. What a weird thing to do on your very first day on the internet: Go to Gamestop.com, click on a random article, and read a comment from the middle of the second page.

@phbz: Sony's profits probably aren't as good, but we'll see. That's Microsoft's profit as a company, and Microsoft is a better performing company as a whole than Sony. Sony's gaming division for years has been the only bright spot in their company, whereas Microsoft is usually bolstered by its Windows and Office divisions. It's Surface division has finally become profitable and is now raking in a few billion itself. Office has 22M recurring subscribers now, which is kind of insane.

@Utnayan: Yes, Sony is outselling it, but you play up the benefits of Sony to an extreme degree. From reading your posts on the site, you'd believe that the PS4 cures cancer and can end all war. It's a good, not great, gaming device. The XB1 is a good, not great, gaming device. Their differences are really very, very minor in processing power, but yes, Sony's is superior. No one is denying that, but the extreme degree to which you attack XB1 and its players is quite over the top. Moreover, eternalrogue198 is correct: Microsoft has sold less, but is still making huge profits on it. They're not in Sony's league in console sales numbers, but both companies are making money hand over fist (in their gaming divisions, that is). Microsoft is behind Sony in sales, but that's for an arbitrary "who is winning" discussion. From the perspective of their shareholders, Microsoft is selling at a very impressive rate and making loads of money.

@Utnayan: You lose a lot of credibility when you imply someone who likes a Microsoft product must work for Microsoft, as you did (albeit in passing) in your post. People like certain products without being paid to do so. Virtually every Apple product ever made post 2000, for instance, was technically inferior to and more expensive than another product on the market at the same time and millions like those products without receiving a paycheck for it.

@cornbredx: (The original trilogy were the Lucas edited versions too, just FYI.)

@UltimateBastard: Star Wars itself was heavily lifted from other movies. It's the nature of the world. Has been happening for thousands of years. That's why you have hundreds of different versions of, say, the King Arthur stories, because people just rehashed then as they do now. It's not your generation. It's mankind as a whole, and pretending that somehow this is the only time it has ever happened is silly.

Pretty good game so far. Surprised it hit number 1, but deserves it (especially against the current slate of quasi-recent games).

I'm probably more excited about a spectator camera if it means I can spectate while lying dead waiting for a revive. In some of the challenging missions it can be a long wait when you die.

Oh good, I was just asking myself, "How can I pay more to get less TV service than I do now? Who will willingly take my money and rip me off even more so than standard cable?" Thankfully, Sony answered the call.

I like the idea of these cable-without-cable services, but until they can offer service on par with what you get from cable providers currently, account for the fact that you still need an internet connection from said cable companies (with good bandwidth if you intend to do anything concurrently, like if someone else in the house wants to play an online game), and realize that most people's problem with cable is the horrific price gouging (and not, as they seem to think, the fact that it is only accessible via your television), I don't see these catching on. Someone will make the connection eventually and it'll work, but it doesn't appear that it'll be Sony by this evidence.
