@xwillkillsx: EA owns MoH and Battlefield now. KillZone was never very good and its audience was stifled by being exclusive. SOCOM was popular & fun. Somehow SOCOM 3 fell flat and last two weren't great. Sony abandoned it.
CoD is on another level with the campaign presentation, and the MP remains absurdly popular. I haven't played it in over a decade and it is still the biggest thing out there.
@tonyleo01: I didn't mind it. The time limit gave you an added sense of tension and made you think. You had to plan out your routes if you wanted to explore more and discover/fight certain bosses. Some people complained about saving in the bathrooms, too.
There was a mode without a time limit, I think. Never played it.
Dead Rising 4 may not have had a time limit. It was silly because you could get so powerful the hordes couldn't kill you. You just smash and smash and smash, then combo, ad nauseum. The game became trivial and pointless so I stopped playing.
@Vodoo: I have a similar GP lifetime (joined 6/2020, good to 12/2024). To get a lot out of it, I mix things up. Try new games, especially if you think you really might like them, or they're well regarded. Your disc-based games are not going anywhere.
There is plenty of downtime where you end up on the internet and accomplish little. You could try a new game or progress in something you're currently playing for 10-30 minutes.
If I get stuck at an encounter, I'll just switch games or do something else. Usually, I will approach the fight or puzzle differently when I return.
