@Mogan: The thing is, if I knew what the game was like, I would not have spent the time playing it, even it was free.
The game starts with a note on the front door that tells you exactly what to expect. That is why I cannot fathom why anyone felt any suspense in the house. Maybe 15 minutes later, you find a note with the first mention of "L", and it was immediately and painfully obvious what happened. There was your "what" and "why".
Finishing the game, for me, was self-abuse. I had to be taught a lesson. LOL. The whole "game" is about reading a high school girl's diary (an invasion of privacy, btw) and listening to God-awful girl garage bands.
@snugglebear: I had no idea about the story, either. When I realized what was up, I was pissed. I intentionally kept myself in the dark to avoid spoilers. It was supposed to be a mystery, after all. That decision and the one to purchase GH blew up in my face.
@DrunkenPunk800: Man, I wish I had pics of my face while playing through this game. LOL. I bought it ($20-$25) based on the game media's reviews & recommendations because I always liked to play a mystery game.
You find two "clues" in the first twenty minutes that all but unequivocally tell you what happened. I spent the next 2-3 hours completing it, regardless.
The same thoughts kept popping up:
"...that's really all there is to this...I just paid money for this B.S..."
@ConnorAztecHaye: The team did a great job of salvaging the game. It was very broken at release. They listened to fan feedback and reassessed the gameplay, making tweaks, adding new moves and characters. The game got some unprecedented support for a sports title.
@DeathCrusher91: Those games were 4:3 ratio. They can't truly be (1920x) 1080p 16:9 without more work to the renderer. The games were never intended to be 16:9.
@livedreamplay: I'm pretty sure racism doesn't disappear because of racists. As a matter of fact, I'm certain of it. You should hate racists, if you must.
Pretending racism doesn't exist or staying silent is nonsense. Maybe Cage's crew didn't do anything intentionally, who knows. This type of thing is not unfounded in entertainment, however. You are also overreacting worse than anyone who may have complained or raised suspicion.
@suicidesn0wman: XB1 and PS4 were releaased right on top of each other. They have game libraries that are 95%+ identical. When they arrived, 1080p televisions had been standard for almost 8 years. PCs have since moved on to 2560x1440, 3840x2160, and 5120x2880 resolutions.
One machine is clinging to that standard by it's finger nails, the other has fallen into the abyss. This is why resolution and frame rate are hot topics today.
