RIGHT to LEFT
Ok I left off last time with having got to the streets of Athens and the little battles there with the Gorgans and Harpies. I managed to get past that part eventually when I noticed what GMG pointed out to me, that whilst rolling around the Harpies didnt attack me leaving me open and ready to take on the Gorgans. I rolled around and got close to her a lot attacked and moved backwards or sideways depending on which direction had the more space for me to pull off my next attack. I mainly used The spirit of Hercules and the Valour as well which would slam the Gorgan to the ground leading me up to do an Apollos Offensive and then continually pressing the Circle button to grab and smash the gorgan, The 2nd Gorgan put paid to a few harpies for me with her stare which made the fight that little bit more easier and I got through that unscathed.
The Harpies are NUBs like that. It is great to know for when you have to battle the Harpy Conveyor Belt before Pandora's Box since their 'bombing' will ALWAYS pose a threat.
A troll to triangle can catch a creature in a bounce..if you react fast enough you can go for an air grab then. I see you've used the Infinite Air Grapple now. This is good news..you'll be having an even easier time because of it.
It is always nice when a Gorgon unintentionally assists you.
The next big battle for me was the Sirens in the desert of lost souls I got through that one first time with keeping a track on the siren and avoiding the Minotaurs and using them for health when needed. I am past the second set of Sirens at the top by the horn to call the titan, they didnt hold much of a threat to me I ripped through them quite happily. I am now into Pandoras temple.
The Sirens in the Desert SUCK. There are tricks to use *some aren't an option for you just yet*..but not a whole lot one can do other then PR or go crazy with Spirit usage. The rest of Sirens in the game are easy prey to infinite air grabs *OH too if I recall correctly*. They also have low resistance to Petrification..weak statue forms to boot...BUT they break out INCREDIBLY fast so just a single blade whack will 'crush' them. It is nice to be at the point where you no longer see a Minotaur as a threat..but a convenient green orb package with lulz attached.
The most anticipated fight of the game for me has come and gone in seconds!!!!! I so loved kicking those desert kings straight back to hell. I still havent found that sweet spot you are talking about, but what I did manage to do was get them both into the corner at the same time and just continously whore Plume/evade/plume and so on until I took them down without using magic or rage of the gods like I did the first time around. The wraiths in the temple were a joke I ripped them apart along with the archers which are of no challenge to me at all.
Desert Kings are no threat once you have the proper tools at your disposal..on any settings. There are two places to exploit there. One is by the gate which works fairly well. Another is at the tip of a long cliff next to (left) the bridge. *I prefer this one if I use any*. Very easy stuff.
Wraiths are a joke in GoW1. Those Cursed Archers can prove to be annoying when left at a distance..but can be quickly taken out of the equation.
I have just got myself into the rings of pandora, past the first room and the room with the muse door, I have just aquiered the blade of Artemis, but I am unsure of what to do as GMG finds it a good weapon compared to the Blades of Chaos, so I dont know wether to stick to my blades which I am pretty well adapted too and can pull off anything I need all the time without fail or to go for the new weapon and learn how to use that. My plan is to still stick with upgrading the blades as they come in handy for me against Ares at the end and the clones also, I have to this point still not upgraded any magic at all they are all still at level one.
So now you have it. I don't ask that you use that weapon as your primary for this run. Just that you find a nice place to practice the 3 techniques I show in that vid. Also R1 cancels >_> You'll be wanting to understand it by the time you reach the 11 Hades Satyrs...Punt is rediculously great against them. I've already explained that you should keep to your initial plan of upgrading for this run but that you should practice the key techniques needed for NUR/NUR+ while cruising easy street.
I finally mastered the Launcher and then the grab and slam move one after another whilst i was in the sewers against a minotaur, so I am quite pleased with that one I havent had the chance to perform that one again yet but I am going to keep trying to get that one going. Orions Harpoon is also working out for me when I get the chance to execute the move but I have found that I like the Plume backed with the spirit countered with the valour and I am finding that the more I play it the faster i can bust them out and in a larger quantity meaning one after another.
So you've got the Infinite Air Grab down I take it. Good. The number of air grabs/OH it takes to kill these creatures is typically the same no matter the changes to the settings. 3 for a God NUR+..3 for a Easy w/ God Armor MAX run.
The faster you are at executing techniques when needed...the easier things will be obviously..instinct takes over and you can save focus for what needs reaction/thought. The joys of familiarity.
When you fight Legionnaire Captains, you'll likely want to follow the strat listed in Tactics/Tips. For the Centaur Sacrifice..just go apes*** with PR..that will do just fine for those settings.

MOAR UPDATES PLOX
[QUOTE="theliar"][QUOTE="Alucard_rules"]Yes, it was awesome to pwn the endurance run, it took me like only 5-6 tries at most! I consider that, EASY.(for a challenge).Alucard_rules
Indeed. Have you gotten to Zeus yet?
Yup, and I beat him on the second try.(it took maybe 4 tries during the stage with the sirens) and therefore I am proud to say that I have completed my GK:TM:NUR.
LAWL Congratulations. I'll update your list now.
I saw the same percentages. I'd vote Ryu any day. Even though I haven't played any PoP games, and am currently unsure of how I like Ninja Gaiden, Ryu is still way more kick@$$ than the Prince.
Imagine our suprise if we just aren't being shown the real results...and Dante iswinning..our the pull is rigged on either side...On an unrelated note, am I the only one disheartened by the state of the Chains of Olympus board? Even with the stranglehold on new info, you'd think there could be some more discussion on it. Oh well. At least it is now only about 2 months away. And DMC4 is less than a month away, which should tide me over(and then some, hopefully) until CoO.
I didn't pay any attention to that board. I have work to do here concerning CoO Updates but I really have to get over this Translator vid recording hurdle before I do anything else. I've been noting the oddities of that fight..there are quite a few that are bothersome..understanding how they work safeguards players from seemingly randomized factors.

~Typical, Dante..just typical
My results are the same as that also. I guess you're right about the Eastern/Western thing also. It is quite amusing the way the two sides will battle it out for the satisfaction that their character 'is better'.
So, Ryu VS Prince, place your bets.
Snake4eva_92
Interesting...
~Ryu..even with Prince's powers..unlesshe miraculously lands a hit that freezes the guy in place..NOTHING Prince does is fast enough *let alone strong enough* to deal with that freak of a super ninja. *they guy doesn't even do stealth..he doesn't need it*

Alucard: You aren't the only one to have noted this...
Let us all list the percentages we see upon looking at the results. I see:
Kratos - 55.5%
Dante - 44.4%
What about you guys? Something is off about that.
Snake: No problem.
I'd kill either of them using the other with the greatest of joy. Would be far better then an VS topic could ever be.
They both get a lot of hate. They are essentially opposite takes on things..Eastern vs Western desires in a 'hero'. I believe Charlie Wen has discussed what he saw as the differences before. It gets addressed A LOT..so there has to be something to it..you don't see a lot of Ryu VS somebody topics outside his boards..nor Prince VS somebody..
It will be awhile and likely quite spontaneous as I'm currently IP banned the said person's board *kekeke*. Doesn't mean I can't use another person's IP...kekeke
Inferno: Good jorb *spelled that way on purpose*. You noticed the error when I had already commented on it.
FUN FACT: This is the second time I've done that
NOTE: I have to kill you now >_> SARRY *spalt rawng awn perpuss*
SoD is greatness. Bow down.
Will you now? Should be nice to have you back as a fellow runner.
Alucard: So I take it you used PS between grapple then. Works absurdly well..
Portal is hilarious. Half-Life 2 asks that you understand PC shooters and what they demand *lots more thought and navigation then typical FPS*. Deus Ex is one that IRWolfy keep trying to get me to play..if I had nothing else..I WOULD play it to be certain..but I just like GoW too much to be diverted very long.
Endurance Run is a joke when you can whore UBER collisions whilst not stupidly taking damage. In your opinion..now that you've done it yourself..would you say it is a pleasure cruise to pwn that part? *it is good fun*
I hate Ninja Gaiden's camera..that is rarely a complaint of mine..for a game that fast and challenging..with foes who attack whether you can see them on-screen or not...it is terrible that such a thing continues to show up...giving an extra reason for why it is hard to beat for newcomers.
