@SDFKrusher I'm not sure about Nintendo but I believe Sony does not require developers to push updates through Sony's servers. What this means is that a developer could update their game with their own servers, which is free.
@Landsharkk You don't seem to get it. Patching a game shouldn't cost the developer money. The developer is already putting more time and effort into fixing the game for the sake of it's customers, why should they have to PAY to do this? It's like asking a TV repairman to pay to come fix your TV.
I actually don't WANT the Wii U to be a graphical beast. If it can be on par with PS3/Xbox then I'm fine with that. What I really, REALLY care about are Nintendo games. Pikmin 3 is a good start, but I'm going to need a new Zelda or Metroid to get me to buy this.
@deadpeasant He didn't say anything about his own game though. You would have felt this way even if he said "RPG" or "Strategy". Face it, there's nothing he could have said that you wouldn't twist into "self-serving bias."
@TheCyborgNinja If it were that obvious then Call of Duty, Gears of War, and Halo wouldn't be the most profitable games on the market today. Most gamers clearly don't care about innovation.
