@krigan: Microsoft did express having upgrade cycles like cell phones, so think more along the lines of 2 to 3 years.
They also wanted to keep up with the computer base, a new GPU drops every 2 years from nivida....
It works for apple, because their fan base isn't really tech savvy also, you can trade in an old phone toward the new one.... I don't think neo or xbox scorpio will do that at lanch which is a huge misstep IMO.
