Why all the suprise at the 360 numbers. For the lst 3 November they have stayed at a relatviely steady sales rate.

Nov 07 - 770,000

Nov 08 - 836,500

Nov 09 - 819,500

The PS3 on the other almost doubled their two previous Novembers

Nov 07- 466,000

Nov 08 - 378,000

Nov 09 -710,400

So in Nov 09 when the two systems are the same price they are very close in sales, previously when the 360 had a price advantage it outsold the PS3 by wide margins.

Not sure why anyone is so surprised.

One last message to you all. Here is the typically argument between console gamers and PC gamers here in SW

Family Console gamer - I prefer to play in fron of a TV plus I don't wnat to spend 500-600 bucks on a PC just to play games.

PC gamer- Everyone has a PC, plus you can easily hook it up to your TV.

Family Console gamer - yes I have a PC that is used for many things so it would be impractical for me to do that, but I can and do play games occasionally on my PC.

PC gamers(in this thread) - Well just but another PC to connect to your TV

PC fanboy - Graphics are so much better on PC why would anyobe ever consider playing on a console.

Console gamer - Well I like to play on my TV.

PC gamers - well you can connect your PC to a TV

Console gamer - I don't have a HDTV.

Huh? - doesn't that just nullify your original point about graphics.

So to some it all up. PC gaming is better for some, Console gaming is better for other, and for a vast majority of people they don't really give a damn and play both.

1. If you have no family, or

2. You live at home and have your PC and TV in your bedroom.

Not so great if -

1. You have children or multiple people using the PC

2. Other people want to watch/use TV while PC is in use (In a multi-person household, this is almost always happening)

Remember PC having multiple uses is also is a detrmionet for gaming when one has a family. Everyone has a PC - this is the arfument on why you don't need X console. Well my PC is used by various family members for Myspace, Facebook, homework, etc.

If I want to play a game on a console, that's all it does, nobody can tell me they need to use it for other purposes. So in my situation and I guess many others, that is a plus for consoles - there main purpose is to play games.

I have nothing against PC gaming, in fact do a bit still and used to alot in the past, but remember blanket statements don't apply to all.

I mean really what is your argument? Consoles are usually connected to the main TV which is occupied most of time if there are multiple family members.

If someone started using my PC a litte too much in my house then I'll ask them to buy their own, it's that simple.

Ofcourse if someone is a little kid who cant buy his own things then we cant help it. But then again he wont be able to buy a separate TV for his console so the same problem will still be there...

Well I am leaving work and since I rarely use my home PC for anything but educational purposes and occasional gaming, I will not be participating anymore over the weekend. Guys please try to figure out the difference between can/practical/popular, while I enjoy my work free weekend.
