Considering Metroid Prime: Hunters is a handheld game, and by far the best-looking, more engaging, best sounding game on the system, I think it deserves far more respect. I love the game to death because I never compared it to the gamecube games. I look at it as utterly amazing that you can carry around such a game in your pocket. Yeah, it's a little too linear, but all games have problems.

And Mario Kart, like others have said, is definitely deserving of its reputation. I think the incorporation of the retro tracks was a wicked idea, on top of the 16 new tracks. 32 tracks can last you a while on single player...

I think a lot of people found the new Bowser Castle, DK Pass, and Luigi's Mansion among the most inventive tracks. I didn't find any recycled gameplay in the tracks.

It looks good but I had a lot of trouble getting into it. I still haven't bothered to finish it. It felt too much like a sidescrolling version of SM64...so many elements were duplicated.

Avoid Age of Empires...it's nothing like the PC counterparts. Definitely ask some questions before considering that one.

2nd because it allows for the battery to have a good lifespan and the games look FAR brighter than anything on a fat DS.

It's just, ugh...am I the only one who thinks that because game developers HAVE to implement the touch screen in games that they turn out sucking, i.e: Wario MOD, among other games? The stupid touch screen boosts in DKR etc...

I think developers are overlooking the goal -- to make a good handheld 3-D game. If it doesn't involve the touchscreen why bother? I've only come across a handful of games where you actually NEED the touchscreen and it actually IMPROVES the game.

Developers should just treat the bottom screen like it's treated in SM64DS. Just use it as a map or something that indicates health, location etc...unless you're playing a mini-game.
